Hundreds of Vietnamese and international reporters will be reporting from the Formula 1 Hanoi Grand Prix 2020 in April.
As part of the preparation for the Formula 1 race in Hanoi, the organizers recently announced the opening of a journalism registration portal at the Formula 1 VinFast Vietnam Grand Prix 2020, with March 1, 2020, being the deadline for registration. Professional reporters must follow the standards of competence and copyright commitment stipulated by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and Vietnam Grand Prix Limited Liability Company (the event organizer).

The process of issuing business cards for the race is strict as it requires information on the reporter’s work position, capacity, and experience, and the press unit’s volume of issue, number of readers, and volume of access. In particular, according to the FIA regulations, licensed press units will need to commit to the number of news articles published on the Formula 1 VinFast Vietnam Grand Prix as well as to compliance with the strict regulations on ensuring copyright protection for the formula 1 group.
Each press unit (print newspaper) is granted a maximum of 02 business cards and each digital unit/news website is granted 01 business card. Television stations will only be given the right to register their reporters/editors who are to report on the event (except licensed broadcasting units). Reporters from television stations will not be allowed to film themselves, but to receive photos and videos from FOM (Formula One Management) on a daily basis.

The results of press registration will be determined by FIA, F1, and VGPC based on the reporters’ profile, experience, and capacity. Press units will receive results notification via email and receive business cards at the Press Card Issuance Center for the event before the event takes place. International press units (including representative offices in Vietnam) will register online via the FIA system.

The construction progress at the construction site of Formula 1 VinFast Vietnam Grand Prix 2020 has been sped up. The permanent items are almost completed. It is expected that all the items will be completed and handed over to FIA in March as scheduled to be ready for the world’s largest race to be held in Hanoi, Vietnam for the first time from April 3 to 5, 2020.
