Dao Ngan Temple is located next to NH 419, has a superficial scale and is famous in the area. The temple is structured in the word “Tam”, including the following items: Nghi Mon with three paths to the inside, Ta Huu Mac with two rows of nine-room houses, Dai Bai with five rooms and four roofs, communal house with two floors and eight roofs, magnificent later part with three rooms and two sub-rooms, other sub-items made of ironwood, roofed with tiles roof, and towering feet of stone and columns…

Dao Ngan Temple worships Dai Tu Do Quoc Lao, Ung Quan Cong Thuong Dang Dinh Tuong. He was a talented general with many merits in building and defending the country during the reign of King Le Lords Trinh. Through the historical periods of the country, Dao Ngan temple still keep invaluable historical and cultural values. In the period after the Revolution August 1945, Dao Ngan temple held the first National Assembly election in 1946.

During the anti-American war for national salvation, Dao Ngan temple was used to store food to serve the resistance war. After the victory of the resistance war, with the spirit of “Bản lai dịch mục”, “Cố sự tầm nguyên”, the local people renovated the food warehouse to become the present temple to worship Thanh Hoang to meet the people’s respect for the saints, to serve Dang Dinh Tuong succeeded in Le Trung Hung dynasty in the 18th century. Through many ups and downs and events of history, with valuable and rare artifacts are still preserved at relics, Dao Ngan temple, Hop Dong commune has been ranked by the People’s Committee of Hanoi City on January 9, 2020 as a historical relic.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the District People’s Committee Chuong My Nguyen Ngoc Lam emphasized that a decision on Dao Ngan Temple was issued by the People’s Committee of Hanoi City as a legal basis for officials and villagers to be proud of the history, traditional culture of the homeland, at the same time, responsible for managing, protecting, preserving and promoting the value of the relic for present and future generations. For success, he asked the village officials and people to perform well many key tasks of which it is necessary to educate the local generations to always respect, preserve, inherit and promote the cultural quintessence beauty, pure fine customs left by the former generations, implement a civilized lifestyle in religious activities, beliefs, weddings, funerals, festivals, and longevity to contribute to building an elegant and civilized Hanoi, preserve historical relics to express the ethics of drinking water to remember its source, remember the merits of former generations in the cause of building and defending the country…

Currently, the artifacts of the temple are quite sketchy, the architectural structure is simplified, so the recognition of the historical relic will be the basis and premise for the people and local authorities to have a specific plan to gradually restore, embellish and promote historical value; at the same time, continue to implement plans of scientific inventory and assessment and supplement artifacts contained in the relic to serve the management.

Along with that, being recognized by the People’s Committee of Hanoi City as a City-level Historical relics will be the basis and premise for strengthening the state management of the monument, expanding the process of socialization and attracting the wide participation of social organizations and people in the protection and promotion of the value of relics, associated with the state management by legal documents.
