The Propaganda Department of the Hanoi Party Committee issued an official dispatch to the departments, authorities, the Fatherland Front and the city’s socio-political organizations, the Party committees in units under the Hanoi Party Committee, and the Le Hong Phong cadre training school, Standing Commitees, Propaganda Departments of districts, town committees and city press on propagating and implementing the plan of the Second essay writing contest on protecting the Communist Party of Vietnam’s ideological foundation and refuting wrongful and hostile views in 2022.

Under the direction of the Central Propaganda Department and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics on the propaganda of “The second essay writing contest on protecting the Communist Party of Vietnam’s ideological foundation and refuting wrongful and hostile views in 2022”, the Propaganda Department of Hanoi Party Committee proposed authorities, localities and units to response and participate in the Contest based on Plan No. 762-KH/HVCTQG dated February 25, 2022 of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. Details are as follows:
Launching the contest in an extensive, creative, effective method that delivers quality, suitable to the situation of authorities, localities, units and Hanoi capital.
Collecting and review the essays based on the contest rules and prepare an application file (of each authority, locality, and unit), and send it to the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee (To Culture Department, No. 9 Ngo Quyen, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi; send the digital file of the contest application to email: thiviet2022.btgtuhn@gmail.com) before July 15, 2022, to summarize and send to the Organization Board of the Contest ensure the correct time.
The application fincludes: A report summarizing the implementation of the Contest at the authority, locality and unit (in which: clearly stating the form of implementation, total number of application and number of application in each category; number of applcation submitted to the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee after reviewing and evaluation); the content of the essay submitted to the contest after appraisal and evaluation (including 02 printed copies and soft files) and the evidence attached to posted essay during the Contest; the list of total number of application received and the list of essays after evaluation that sent to the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee.
Promoting the propaganda, widely spread the meaning and content of the Contest in government at all levels, sectors, localities and units; encouraging the officials, party members and people to actively respond and participate, contributing to improve the effectiveness of the protection of Communist Party of Vietnam’s ideological foundation and refuting wrongful and hostile views
Contributing to propaganda the documents of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam
The 2nd essay writing contest on protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, refuting against wrong and hostile views in 2022 was organized to continue affirming the role and importance of protection the ideological foundation of the Party, refuting against wrong and hostile views in the new situation. It contributed to propagating, affirming, and defending the views, guidelines and directions of the Communist Party, State policies and laws, documents of the 13th National Congress and increase awareness, responsibility and practice logical thinking, ability to identify and refute wrongful and hostile views in terms of ideals, theory, literature, art and cyberspace for officials and party members.
Thanks to the contest, the individuals has been discovered, trained, fostered to refute wrongful views. It provides scientific arguments and form a source of quality essays and directly serves the propaganda to protect the ideological foundation of the Party, etc.
The applicant are Vietnamese live in Vietnam and abroad, foreigners, whose political essays match the contest’s criteria. Each author or group of authors can submit up to two essays: one essay on magazine and one essay on newspaper. The essays are created for the first time, not duplicated with the published works.
The topic of the esay focuses on basic issues including protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, refuting current wrongful and hostile views such as scientific values, revolution and the era of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh’s ideals and proposals for addition and development; socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam today; current topical issues such as the fight against corruption and wastefulness, the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, the protection of the country’s sovereignty in sea and islands, and policy of foreign affair of State and Party, etc.
The announcement and award ceremony would be held in October 2022. There were prizes for two types of essays including magazines and newspapers. Each type has 1 special prize, 5 A prizes, 8 B prizes, 15 C prizes, 20 consolation prizes. At the same time, 15 prizes for excellent group of authors were awarded to authorities, organizations, and localities.
