Ung Hoa promotes visual propaganda on Invalids and Martyrs’ Day on July 27.
Ung Hoa district has directed the implementation of policies towards people with meritorious services to Vietnam’s revolution, guided the establishment of documents, reviewed and approved documents, and properly, sufficiently and timely dealt with preferential regimes for people with meritorious services to Vietnam’s revolution, not allowed omitting people with meritorious services who are not entitled to the State’s preferential regimes; completed the application for conferring and posthumously conferring the state honorary title “Vietnamese heroic mother”, mobilized agencies, mass organizations and enterprises to maintain the level of support “Vietnamese heroic mother” with a subsidy of 1 million VND/person/month; coordinated with the City’s Nursing Center for meritorious people to organize nursing people with meritorious services in 2021 to ensure the right subjects, striving to fulfill the nursing target in 2021.
Mobilizing all levels, branches, socio-political organizations, businesses and people to participate in supporting the “Gratitude” Fund at all levels to reach VND 950 million. Organizing visits, meetings and giving gifts to people with meritorious services to Vietnam’s revolution to celebrate the 74th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs’ Day; reviewing households with meritorious people in the near-poor category, on the basis of the specific analysis of circumstances and causes of each household to have practical and effective solutions to support households with stable living standards equal to or higher than the average living standard of the residents; striving not to let households with meritorious services fall back into poverty according to the new criteria.
Specifically, supporting to build and repair houses for 40 people, give savings books to 60 people with meritorious services in difficult circumstances; supporting to raise living standards for 02 households with meritorious services belonging to the near-poor category… do not allow households of meritorious people to fall back into multi-dimensional poverty according to the new criteria; striving for 100% of households with meritorious services to have a stable standard of living equal to or higher than the average living standard of the residents organizing free medical examination and medicine for 600 people with meritorious services being wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families of martyrs; renovating, upgrading and embellishing 02 works of martyrs; organizing to visit and light gratitude candles at the Martyrs Cemeteries on the occasion of July 27.
For communes and townships, depending on the specific conditions of each unit, activities of visiting and giving gifts to the families of people with meritorious services shall be carried out; meeting people with typical meritorious services; simultaneously hold a candlelight ceremony of gratitude at memorial steles and martyrs’ cemeteries in the area. The activities are scheduled to be organized depending on the Covid-19 pandemic situation and ensuring pandemic prevention measures according to the Ministry of Health and Hanoi City.
In addition, the district also promoted visual propaganda and communication on the district’s electronic portal and radio station about the meaning of Invalids and Martyrs’ Day on July 27, propaganda and education of revolutionary tradition, the principle of “ When drinking water, think of its source”, “Repay a kindness” of the nation; honored the dedication, sacrifice and great contributions of heroes, martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution in the cause of national liberation and defense.
