Vang Hamlet had the honor of hosting Mr. Dinh Tien Dung, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the delegation of the National Assembly of Hanoi. On the evening of November 7, 2023, they shared joy with the officials and residents of the hamlet.
Vang Hamlet, located in Co Loa commune, Dong Anh district, spans a natural land area of 650,000m2, accommodating 566 households. During the resistance war, the people of Vang fearlessly harbored many Central Party officials engaged in revolutionary activities.
In the era of renovation, Vang Hamlet, among others in Co Loa commune, excelled in implementing the Movement for Entire People to Build a Cultural Life, fostering economic development, and constructing a prosperous homeland. The movement has yielded splendid results, elevating Vang Hamlet to become an exemplary cultural hamlet in Dong Anh district. The initiative to build Cultural Families in Vang Hamlet has also achieved notable success, with over 90% of households earning the title of Cultural Family annually.
Over the past 20 years, Vang Hamlet has united to successfully construct a new rural area, building a homeland that is progressively affluent and civilized.
The five focal points of the campaign “National Unity for Building New Countryside and Civilized Urban Areas” tied to the formation of urban neighborhoods have been effectively implemented by the officials and residents of Vang Hamlet.
To date, all the hamlet roads have been upgraded with concrete. The installation of lighting systems along hamlet roads, alleys, and inter-hamlet paths, coupled with the planting of greenery, ensures that Vang Hamlet remains bright, green, clean, and beautiful. Vang Hamlet is also a community that has effectively adopted a civilized way of life, with 100% of local deceased individuals choosing cremation. The exemplary conduct of grandparents, parents, and descendants is well-practiced in the locality. Cultural facilities in Vang Hamlet have been systematically invested in and built, creating conditions for residents to engage in comprehensive cultural and sports activities. Consequently, numerous sports competitions and cultural events are organized in the hamlet, particularly during national, city, and Dong Anh district celebrations, contributing to the upliftment of the spiritual life of the people.

Over the past 20 years, the living standards of the people in Vang Hamlet have seen continuous improvement. In 2023, the entire hamlet boasts 424 out of 566 households classified as affluent or well-off, reaching a percentage of 75%. There are no impoverished households in the hamlet. Maintaining the title of “Cultural Hamlet” at the City level for 20 consecutive years, celebrating 20 years of the “Great Unity Festival of the entire nation” in residential areas, and commemorating the 93rd anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 – November 18, 2023), Vang Hamlet has enthusiastically organized various cultural and sports activities to mark these significant events.

On the evening of November 7, 2023, Vang Hamlet had the honor of hosting Comrade Dinh Tien Dung, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, and Head of the delegation of the National Assembly of Hanoi, along with other city and district leaders. Here, Secretary Dinh Tien Dung warmly praised the achievements of the officials and residents of Vang Hamlet in recent years. He expressed his hope that in the coming years, Vang Hamlet would continue to stand united, overcome challenges together, strengthen national solidarity, actively compete to achieve outstanding results, and excellently fulfill the goals and tasks set by the resolutions of the 17th Party Congress of the city.
