The “Vietnamese Lunar New Year 2020” with a series of activities to experience the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival with many traditional rituals was recreated such as Phat Thuc ceremony; the New Year’s tree-building ceremony; Incubation ceremony of Spring Festival … It is noteworthy that when coming to “Vietnamese Lunar New Year 2020”, people and visitors can also experience the Tet market space, the old Lunar New Year through folk games: Write parallel sentences, make Tet flowers, graft canvas paintings, make To He… And more specifically, there is also a special water puppet performance.

The highlight of “Vietnamese Lunar New Year 2020” is the scholar display space with the quartet office “Paper, ink, pen, inkstone” and many parallel sentences with profound meanings, beautiful words or ideas expressed through Calligraphy art with the desire for the good, luck, success, prosperity of everyone in the New Year. There is also a play space for children to learn the history and traditional education through stories of the Lunar New Year at the Royal Palace associated with the new-year writing beginning and letters collecting. Also here, the public and visitors experience the art of writing calligraphy, learning to make Banh Chung, make postcards, confetti, etc.

Also on this occasion, in the area of Kinh Thien Palace, Imperial Citadel of Thang Long exhibited two topics: “Ly, Tran, Le and Mac dynasties in the history of reign at Imperial Citadel of Thang Long” and “Dragon – royal dynasty, power”. In addition, welcoming the New Year this year, Imperial Citadel of Thang Long space is also decorated and exhibited many small scenes, flower gardens such as fireworks, sunflowers, chrysanthemum, peach, apricot, rose and many flowers bring a noble look, such as orchids, camelia, peony, rose and fruit trees, etc., to serve the need of enjoying the beautiful space of the people coming here to for a visit.

“Vietnamese Lunar New Year 2020” Program under the theme “Pen Strokes of Spring” is organized by Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center in collaboration with many agencies, units, trade villages, etc. This is also a meaningful activity on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2020 and to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

“Vietnamese Lunar New Year 2020” Program is scheduled to start from January 17 (December 23 in the lunar calendar of 2019) and last until the end of January 9, 2020, in the lunar calendar of 2020.
