The blood donation festival took place in the atmosphere to celebrate the success of the Party Committee of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.
Activities aimed at responding to the call “All people voluntarily donate blood” of the General Secretary and President of the State on the occasion of International Day to Honor Blood Donors in 2020. At the same time, it is also one of many successful activities to celebrate the success of the Party Committee’s Congress of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.
Donating blood to save people is probably the noblest gesture of human beings, of each individual towards society. With deep sympathy, affection and high responsibility for the community, the Capital’s voluntary blood donation movement is making an important contribution to medical treatment.
During the morning, 100 units of blood were received.
According to a report by the functional sector, the amount of blood stored in health facilities is often very little and not enough to meet the needs of people who need blood. Therefore, the small action of each person participating in blood donation can help many people overcome their critical moments and gain life.
Speaking at the Voluntary Blood Donation Festival, Ms. Bui Thi Thu Hien – Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Chairman of the Department of Trade Union, said: “Over the past time, the Youth Union institutions have actively propagated widely in Youth cadres and union members on voluntary blood donation and this is defined as a noble obligation and the responsibility of youth union members”.

With the spirit of a mutual love for community life, with the desire to “give away every drop of blood to gain one life”, after 5 years of propaganda, launching and implementing the annual “Voluntary Blood Donation Festival” organized by Youth Union has received the attention and enthusiastic response of thousands of youth union officers and members at agencies and units registering to participate in blood donation, serving for emergency and treatment. It is worth mentioning that the number of people registered to donate blood and the number of blood units received in the following year is always higher than those in the previous year. It can be said that the voluntary blood donation program has been actively and widely implemented by the Youth Union, contributing to raising awareness, creating spread among agencies and units” – emphasized Ms. Bui Thi Thu Hien.
The blood donation festival was enthusiastically responded by the youth union officers and members of the Department of Culture and Sports.
Secretary of the Youth Union of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Vu Ha Phuong added that the blood donation festival took place in the morning and received more than 200 blood donation registration applications with more than 150 blood units received. In the coming time, along with the support, attention and facilitation of the Party Committee, Board of Directors, Trade Union, the joining hands of youth union members, “Voluntary Blood Donation Day” will regularly be organized with many meaningful activities for the community and society.
