The pilot area for the implementation of the Family Code of Conduct in Vinh Tuy Ward (Hai Ba Trung District) is the Residential Group No. 1, formed from the old Vinh Tuy village, most of them are trading and business people. Residential Group No. 1 currently has 573 households, of which 200 households directly participate in registration to implement the Family Code of Conduct. In which, there are 03 one-generation families, 151 two-generation families and 46 three-generation families or more. Although first encountering the content of the Family Code of Conduct, the contents of the Code are not new to the people’s understanding. The vast majority of people believe that these are the minimum requirements of human morality, about how to behave in family and social relationships that people have been educated since childhood, have become Vietnamese tradition for thousands of years.
The conference deployed to 200 households in Residential Group No. 1 to propagate, mobilize and sign the implementation of the Code.
Right after Residential Group No. 1 was selected to pilot the implementation of the Family Code of Conduct, the People’s Committee of Vinh Tuy Ward held a conference to deploy to 200 households in Residential Group No. 1 to propagate and mobilize, sign the implementation of the Code. The staff of the Residential Group went to each family to distribute documents, guide the content, clarify the requirements so that the families could understand and agree to sign a commitment to implement the Family Code of Conduct. Visual propaganda about the Code has been promoted. Every week, Vinh Tuy ward radio station broadcasts propaganda articles on family behavior criteria, increasing the time on occasions to respond to the International Day of Happiness on March 20, Vietnam Family Day on June 28), International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Children (November 25).
After 9 months of the pilot implementation of the Family Code of Conduct, the awareness of the purpose of the content requirements, the necessity of the Family Code of Conduct, of all people, especially the families, especially families registered for pilot implementation has been significantly increased. 200 families registered to pilot the Family Code of Conduct in Vinh Tuy ward, all well implemented 04 general behavioral criteria of the Code, including respect, equality, love and sharing. During the past year, the families did not have negative morals and relationships in the family. There is no phenomenon of inequality, fighting quarrel, divorce between husband and wife. Elderly people and children are respected, cared for, and there is no abuse of grandparents, parents and children. Brothers and sisters unite to help each other.
The emulation movements as well as the activities of the Residential Group No. 1 are more vibrant and effective. The negative phenomenon in the group is reduced significantly. In 2020, the Party cell was assessed to have successfully completed the task.
Through the pilot implementation of the Code, the People’s Committee of Vinh Tuy Ward proposed to strengthen the commendation and reward of typical collectives and individuals in the implementation of the Family Code of Conduct; regularly check, evaluate and have appropriate support and reward policies to attract people and families to participate.
