The official dispatch stated that the Covid-19 pandemic situation in the world continues to be complicated with the increasing number of new cases and deaths; besides, the pandemic has been spreading strongly on a large scale in some countries sharing a border with our country. In Vietnam, although the pandemic has been well controlled, it may outbreak at any time, especially due to entry and illegal entry. Many people are negligent, subjective, and improperly and inadequately implement the pandemic prevention and control measures.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to strictly comply with the Prime Minister’s Official Dispatch No. 541/CD-TTg dated April 23, 2021, on strengthening the implementation of Covid-19 prevention and control measures, continuing to stay vigilant about the pandemic in political, economic and social activities, especially in the fields of culture, sports and tourism, ensuring the absolute safety for residents and tourists.
Considering limiting unnecessary public events and activities. In case of organization, pandemic prevention and control measures must be strictly implemented in accordance with regulations. Directing tourist accommodation establishments in the area to register and make self-assessment of Covid-19 safety as guided by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the Official Dispatch No. 4159/BVHTTDL-TCDL dated November 9, 2020, in line with the national Covid-19 safety system.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also required Management Boards of Monuments, Museums, Festival Organizing Committees, and heads of cultural and sports institutions, tourism business units, tourism zones and destinations to develop and implement plans for ensuring security and safety against the pandemic for participants in cultural and sports activities, moviegoers, museum, monument and beauty spot visitors, festival participants, and tourists. Guest reception activity is only carried out when pandemic prevention and control measures are taken as guided by the Health sector.
Promoting propaganda and guidance on the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic; Requesting people to strictly follow “5K motto: Mask – Disinfection – Distance – No gathering – Medical declaration” set out by the Ministry of Health. Importantly, people must wear masks in public places, at public events, tourist areas and destinations; museums, cinemas, monuments and beauty spots, cultural and sports activities venues; festival venues.
Strengthening the inspection and examination of the implementation of pandemic prevention and control measures; promptly detecting any violations and strictly handling any cases of violations of regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control in the fields of culture, sports and tourism in the area.
