In commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946 – December 19, 2023), the Hanoi Library organized a specialized exhibition titled “Resounding Oaths of Determined Sacrifice.”
The exhibition showcases 500 selected documents and books categorized into four main topics: The Party’s standpoint and President Ho Chi Minh’s leadership in the anti-French resistance; Vietnam’s anti-French resistance; National resistance – The resounding oaths of determined sacrifice; Hanoi – Upholding traditions, building a civilized and creative city.

The exhibition focuses on introducing to readers in the capital city materials related to our nation’s anti-French resistance, especially those pertaining to National Resistance Day. Through this, it reaffirms the spirit of our nation’s independence, freedom, and the strong will of our people; it emphasizes the correct decision of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh in launching the National Resistance Day.
The exhibition attracted many readers from the capital city.
Through books and documents, the exhibition contributes to educating patriotism, revolutionary traditions, culture, and heroism of our people, particularly highlighting the courageous and resilient spirit of the residents and soldiers of Hanoi during the 60 days and nights of fire with the motto “Determined to sacrifice for the Fatherland’s determined existence.” It ignites a sense of national pride, instills self-reliance and self-strengthening, and promotes the spirit of great unity and creativity among the people in the process of building the capital and the country.
The specialized exhibition runs until the end of December 19, 2023, at the Hanoi Library, located at 47 Ba Trieu Street, Hoan Kiem District, and 2B Quang Trung Street, Ha Dong District.
