Vietnamese Outstanding Young Faces Award organized by Central Youth Union is to motivate and develop young talents and promote emulation movement in the fields of studying, training, scientific research and creative labor in the young people; consolidate and develop the organization of the Youth Union and the Association and attract the society’s concern about education and training of the young generation.
Hanoi FC player- Quang Hai voted in the top 10 Vietnamese Outstanding Young Faces 2018.
Vietnamese Outstanding Young Faces Award is awarded annually to 10 young people under 35 years of age who have made exceptionally outstanding achievements over the years and have the most outstanding achievements in the nominated year.
From 137 eligible candidates voted as Vietnamese Outstanding Young Faces in 2018 in 10 fields: Study; Scientific – creative research; Production labor; Business – start-up; State administrative management; National Defense; Order Security; Physical Education and Sports; Culture and Arts and Social activities, the Council has just announced the selection of 10 winners among 20 excellent candidates in the online voting from January 25.
In the field of sports, player Nguyen Quang Hai is the only representative in the list of 10 Vietnamese Outstanding Young Faces 2018.
Midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai was born in 1997 and is playing for Hanoi FC. In 2018, Quang Hai has had outstanding achievements in both the club and the national football team. At the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship, the 21-year-old midfielder helped U23 Vietnam finish as runners-up. In this tournament, Quang Hai scored 5 goals. Next, Quang Hai and the Vietnam Olympic team reached the ASIAD 2018 semi-finals with convincing matches and made history and became outstanding of the tournament. At the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup, Quang Hai and the national team won the championship, and he himself won the “Best Player” Award.
It can be said that, in any international tournament, Quang Hai plays an important role in the team of Coach Park Hang-seo. In the domestic tournaments, Quang Hai is also one of the pillars of Hanoi FC – a team set a record and won the V.League 2018 championship early 5 rounds. With these achievements, in 12/2018, Quang Hai received Vietnamese Golden Ball Award and was awarded the Third and Second-class Labor Medal.
Besides Quang Hai in the field of physical education and sports, 9 other outstanding young faces among top ten Vietnamese Outstanding Young Faces in 2018 include H’hen Nie (Culture – Art), Nguyen Duc Thanh (Scientific Research), Vong Binh Long (Scientific Research), Nguyen Phuoc Thao (Study), Le Dinh Hieu (Social Activities), Major Le Trong Hieu (Order Security), Nguyen Van Thuan (National Defense), Tran Van Thuyet (Production Labor) and Van Dinh Hong Vu (Business start-up).
