The program takes place from May 4 to May 31, at Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi).

According to the Organizing Committee, if the COVID-19 pandemic has not ended in May, activities will be carried out on weekends and reduce the scale of the highlight activities. When the COVID-19 pandemic ends, the full content of key activities will be organized according to the plan.

There will be more than 80 people of 12 ethnic groups, including village elders, village chiefs, artisans, ethnic minorities: Tay (Thai Nguyen); Dao (Ba Vi, Hanoi); Mong (Ha Giang); Kho Mu (Nghe An); Muong (Hoa Binh); Thai (Son La); Ta Oi, Co Tu (Thua Thien-Hue); Ba Na (Gia Lai); Xo Dang (Kon Tum); Ede (Dak Lak); Khmer (Soc Trang)… joined the program. The program will introduce the cultures and customs of ethnic minorities at the “Common House” of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups, contributing to motivating the spirit of the people and tourists trusting in Uncle Ho and the Party, overcoming difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the framework of the program, there is the activity “People in the village with Uncle Ho through stories”. Ethnic minorities in the North, Central Highlands, and South will together tell stories about Uncle Ho when he carried out revolutionary activities in Cao Bang province and built revolutionary bases in the northern mountainous provinces; together take care of lotus pond at Khmer pagoda…

The display of Uncle Ho’s photos through artifacts, collected and donated documents presented at the exhibition space of the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism will help viewers better understand the revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh.

The highlight of the activity in May is the musical performance program “Gift of May to Give Uncle Ho”. The program includes special performances associated with the three regions of the North, the Central and the South to combine the song of the beloved leader of the nation as his wish to be a unified country; thereby also showing the solidarity, consensus, wisdom, bravery of Vietnam, community strength in the shared joy to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Within the framework of the activities in May, the Organizing Committee will introduce several folk games promoting collective strength, community solidarity to show more sharing and mutual exchange between the community and visitors.
