The Management Board of Culture and Tourism Village introduced the culture and customs of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups at the “common house”. In the context of COVID-19 pandemic, the activity “Memories of ethnic groups with Uncle Ho through stories” was carried out in an appropriate scale. Specifically, representatives of ethnic groups in the North of Vietnam gathered in the stilt house of Tay ethnic group and told stories about Uncle Ho when He did revolutionary works in Cao Bang and built revolutionary bases in Northern mountainous provinces. Representatives of the Central Region of Vietnam gathered in the traditional house of people bearing Ho surname and told stories and lessons about Uncle Ho’s life. Representatives of the South of Vietnam, who take care of the lotus pond at Khmer pagoda, told stories about Uncle Ho. Lotus also symbolizes His soul beauty. From the stories, people understand better, then study and follow His morality and lifestyle, and apply in reality.

Traditional folk games of ethnic minorities.

Besides, images and artifacts associated with Uncle Ho were also introduced at the Village. Ethnic minorities jointly decorate the stilt house and communal house and place a picture of Uncle Ho inside. Everyone takes regular exercise and physical activities to maintain their health, and increases production, following the way of Uncle Ho. The ethnic minorities also introduced their traditional culture associated with living space and cultural subjects in each village such as handicraft, folk dance, folk games, and the like.

A striking content within the group of activities which will be carried out when COVID-19 pandemic is over is the singing – dancing – music performance show titled “Gift of time to Uncle Ho” by students from Viet Bac Art and Culture College. The show with special art items of three regions: the North, the Central, and the South sings the praise of the beloved leader of our nation and expresses people’s desire for a unified country. The daily folk program “A great deal of love” with singing and dancing performance of the ethnic minorities at the “Common House” also shows the love for Uncle Ho.
