In the list of proposals for awarding the title of “People’s Artisan”, Hanoi is the locality with the largest number of 11 records; popular in folk performing arts (7 records), followed by 3 artisan profiles in the form of folk knowledge and 1 artisan profile in the form of social practices and beliefs.
After Hanoi, Bac Ninh has 7 records, all in the form of folk performing arts; Thai Binh has 5 records; Binh Dinh has 4 records; Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, Dak Nong, Ho Chi Minh City, have 3 records, etc. proposed for the title of “People’s Artisan”.
The list of 600 applications for consideration and award of the title of “Excellent Artisan” in the field of intangible cultural heritage submitted by the Ministerial Council to the State Council is also posted for public opinion.
In this list, Hanoi is also the leading locality with 60 records, followed by Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa with 26 records, Bac Ninh and Nghe An with 25 records, etc.
According to the plan, the time to collect opinions from the people will last until July 27, before the State Council holds a meeting as prescribed.
