More than 20,500 entries registered at Ha Noi 1st “Ambassador of reading culture” contest

Ha Noi 1st “Ambassador of reading culture” contest 2021 was launched by the Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with Ha Noi Department of Training and Education as of 18 April 2021 and its entry submission was closed on 15 July 2021. This is the first time Ha Noi city organizes the premilinary round of selection of the “Ambassador of reading culture” contest. This activity was directly handled and coordinated by Ha Noi Library. With the holding of the contest, the Organizing Committee wishes that students and pupils within Ha Noi’s area could inspire among people their love for reading, and share interesting books and effective reading methodologies. It is a useful cultural activity to be spreaded out in the whole city area aimed at further implementing the campaign to learn and act in accordance with late President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morals and ways of lifen. At the same time, it has been organized so as also to celebrate the great events of the country and Ha Noi Capital. “Ambassador of reading culture” is an important contest which is held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the annual and nationwide basis. The contest entries are submitted in the form of written, video clip sharing their loved books or composing a story or poem to incourage everyone to love reading. This contest has started in 2019 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. After 2 years running, it has attracted  a substantial participation students and pupils from the whole country. Notably, in 2020, there were more than 1 million participants from over 5000 schools and colleges. In 2021, this contest, starting its launch in February, till now there have been 58 provinces/cities, nearly 30 universities and academies, and a number of line Ministries taking part with hundreds of entry papers submitted.
