Promoting the spirit of solidarity, the people of Truong Yen commune (Chuong My district) have actively implemented the movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” with many outstanding results; for example, the whole commune has 88.9% households meet the standards of Cultural families, 04/04 villages and hamlets achieve the title of cultural villages and hamlets; 04/04 agencies and units won the title of cultural agencies and units, people actively contributed funds to build facilities to serve cultural life.

Truong Yen commune has over 2,600 households with nearly 12,000 people. In addition to agricultural production, people in the commune have additional income from carpentry, production of bamboo and rattan products, garments, trade and services. After implementing consolidation and exchange of plots and building new rural areas, Truong Yen commune has strongly switched to commodity agricultural production; built concentrated production areas to ensure food safety, and cooperate with enterprises to exclusively purchase products from farmers. In the commune, there are 86 enterprises, 1,156 production and business households in the fields of industry, handicrafts, trade and services, creating regular jobs for more than 5,500 workers with an income of VND 5-7 million/person/month. In 2020, the average income will reach VND 60.3 million/person/year.
The rural appearance of Truong Yen has changed markedly. In the past 5 years, Truong Yen has received the largest capital construction investment ever with a total capital of over VND 104 billion from the city and district budget, and the commune budget is VND 620 million. Along with that, socialized resources with nearly VND 6.7 billion have been mobilized from businesses and socialized resources from people, organizations and individuals inside and outside the commune were over VND 13.7 billion to renovate, upgrade and build new rural infrastructure…, typically, Construction of a multi-purpose house for Truong Yen Secondary School with an area of 520m2 and concreting of Truong Yen Primary School’s yard worth nearly VND 4 billion by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, a native person, Director of An Quy Hung Co., Ltd., cultural house in Binh Minh hamlet costing VND 1.6 billion with entirely contributed by the local people, renovation of sports and air volleyball fields worth VND 350 million; renovation of the pond of Cong alley, Chua pond and Vung Voi lake with a budget of more than VND 1 billion…

The attention is paid to Education – Training. All 3 schools in the commune have reached the level-1 national standard. The rate of trained workers reaches 65%. 100% of cadres and civil servants attend in training on information technology, promoting the construction of electronic agencies and online public administrative services at levels 3 and 4.
Another highlight in Truong Yen is the green, clean and beautiful landscape. Recognizing the important role of the environment in life, people in the commune actively contribute funds and workdays to renovate ponds and lakes, install stone benches, plant flowers along the road, and conduct community activities. Many ponds and lakes have been built with sturdy embankments, planted with trees, installed with stone benches adorning the beauty of the village and becoming the resting place of the people, typically, renovation of the pond of Cong alley, Chua pond and Vung Voi lake with a budget of more than VND 1 billion to solve water pollution, build an ecological lake, create a place for cultural activities of the people. Truong Yen commune also reminded each other to put garbage in the right place, not let buffaloes and cows on streets… The commune’s radio station publicizes the name of violators of environmental hygiene for the People to know and learn from.
The system of facilities serving cultural, artistic and sports activities of the People is quite synchronous with the cultural houses of the villages and the communal multi-purpose gymnasium. People actively practice sports to take care of their health as well as participate in cultural and artistic activities to enrich their spiritual and cultural life.
The people of Truong Yen live in love, hard work, and have a sense of responsibility for the common work. Currently, the staff and people of Truong Yen are focusing on implementing the new rural area’s criteria, building a rich, beautiful and civilized homeland.
