Speaking at the ceremony, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women’s Union, Ms. Le Kim Anh affirmed: Over the past time, promoting the traditions and good qualities of Vietnamese women, the Capital members and women have united, actively participated in the prevention of Covid-19, at the same time, actively respond to the program “Sharing love by millions of gifts” of the Vietnam Women’s Union, contributing to empowering women and children in the South to overcome Covid-19 pandemic.
Along with that, the Women’s Union at all levels enthusiastically emulated to implement the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels. The whole city has built 55 houses of love for women in difficult circumstances; completed hundreds of projects and tasks to celebrate the Women’s Congress at all levels; helped 293 women start a business; built 781 sections of flower roads and streets run by women… The Hanoi Women’s Union has called on all levels of associations, officers and members of the capital’s women to enthusiastically participate in special achievements to welcome the upcoming 13th National Congress of Women’s Deputies.

At the program, the Hanoi Women’s Union praised and awarded 10 creative products and ideas of the capital’s women; awarded the contest “Flower roads and streets in 2021”. The Hanoi Women’s Union has also awarded scholarships to representatives of 10 of 50 students who have overcome difficulties to study well.
In particular, on this occasion, the Capital Women’s Union awarded the title of “Typical Capital Woman in 2021” to 10 women who have made outstanding contributions to the cause of construction and development of the Capital. That is:

- Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thi Thuy Duong, Head of Records Department, City Public Security
- Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hang, Leader of Environment Group 5, Hai Ba Trung branch, Urban Environment Limited Company
- People’s Teacher Nguyen Thi Hien, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Doan Thi Diem Primary School
- Ms. Bui Thi Hong, Chairwoman of the Women’s Volunteer Club, Phu Xuyen town, Phu Xuyen district
- Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, Deputy Director of Hanoi Cheo Theater
- Prof. Dr. Le Thi Quynh Mai, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology
- Ms. Nguyen Thi Sau, Deputy Head of Women’s Union in Bach Tru village, Tien Thang commune, Me Linh district
- Boxing athlete Nguyen Thi Tam, Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center
