The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a plan for organizing the exhibition “Cultural heritage and beauty spots of Vietnam and traditional handicrafts” in Ninh Binh from December 17-24, 2021.

The exhibition aims to introduce, promote, honor the cultural values, relics and scenic spots of Vietnam.

The exhibition “Vietnamese Cultural Heritages, Landscapes and Traditional Crafts” is a cultural and tourism activity within the framework of the National Tourism Year 2021 – Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh to introduce, promote, honor the cultural values, relics and scenic spots of Vietnam to the people in the country and international friends; affirm the potential for development of culture and tourism among localities throughout the country, create a driving force to strongly attract tourism development resources, enhance the image of the country and people of Vietnam.

The exhibition introduces to domestic and foreign tourists about traditional handicraft products, encourage the creative work spirit of artisans, and provide an opportunity for artisans to exchange and learn from experience, promote the potential of craft village tourism, expand the relationship between craft villages, between producers and tourists.

Exhibition activities, cultural and art exchanges within the framework of the program promise to bring emotional experiences to the audience; arouse love for the homeland and country, national pride in the long-standing culture, imbued with the identity that has been crystallized and continued for generations, thereby contributing to preserving and developing cultural traditions. the good of the nation, striving to build a richer and more beautiful Vietnam.

According to the plan, the exhibition will take place in two forms: Visual display at the Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium; VR 360o virtual reality space exhibition displayed online at Website of Vietnam Art and Culture Exhibition Center, Ninh Binh Department of Culture and Sports and participating units.

The exhibition is divided into several exhibition areas. Specifically, the joint exhibition themed “Cultural heritage and beauty spots of Vietnam and traditional handicrafts” with two exhibition areas:  of heritages honored by UNESCO, historical relics, and scenic spots of Vietnam and typical products of artisans and skilled workers from craft villages: Phu Dieu Pottery (Hai Phong), Dinh Cong silver carving, Ngu Xa bronze casting, Van Phuc silk (Hanoi), Thanh Tien paper flowers (Thua Thien – Hue)…; Storytelling by light sculpture art, theme “Hoa Lu – an ancient feature that will last forever”.

With more than 80 selected images on display, the “Travel through Vietnamese Traditional Festivals” Art Photo Exhibition is a tour through the unique festivals in Vietnam recorded by photographers loving heritages so that people remember their roots, pray for peace and express their desire to preserve the most unique cultural beauties of regions across the country.

The exhibition areaColors of Cultural Heritage, Landscapes and Traditional Handicraft Products” of provinces/cities will focus on introducing cultural and natural heritages and typical local landmarks, the favorite destinations of tourists; at the same time, introduce the special features of community activities; promote the potential of eco-tourism and sustainable tourism in the locality; typical traditional handicraft products; Culinary arts, local products…

Exhibition and sale area “Vietnamese traditional handicraft products” displaying, introducing and selling traditional handicraft products of typical artisans and traditional craft villages from localities: Bat Trang Pottery, Son Dong fine art wood, Thuy Ung horn handicraft, Phu Vinh bamboo and rattan, Chuong village conical hat, Ha Thai lacquer, Van Phuc silk (Hanoi); Phu Dieu Ceramic Art (Hai Phong); Dong Xam silver carving (Thai Binh); Ninh Van fine art stone, Kim Son sedge, Van Lam embroidery, Gia Thuy pottery (Ninh Binh); Thanh Tien paper flowers (Thua Thien – Hue); Demonstration of bamboo knitting techniques (NNND Nguyen Van Tinh, Phu Vinh craft village), conical hats (artisan Ta Thu Huong, Chuong hat village)…

Traditional folk art exchange program “Colors of Heritage” with a variety of activities: performing traditional folk arts such as Xam, Ca Tru, Chau Van singing, Quan ho, Xoan singing, Bai Choi, don ca tai tu, folk songs, folk dances, ethnic musical instruments….; Exchange of Dance Clubs to celebrate “National Tourism Year 2021 Hoa Lu – Ninh Binh”; Performing festivals, folk games and cultural exchange activities of the local community.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition “Cultural heritage and beauty spots of Vietnam and traditional handicrafts” is expected to take place on December 17, 2021 at the Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium (Dinh Tien Street, Dong Hoang Ward, Ninh Binh City, Ninh Binh Province).
