Leaders of Hoang Mai district rewarded collectives with excellent achievements in implementing Directive No. 11-CT/TU
As reported by Hoang Mai district, right after the Hanoi Party Committee issued the Directive No. 11-CT/TU, the Standing Board of its Party Committee issued Plan No. 57-KH/QU, dated November 14, 2012, to be applied in the entire Party Committee and political system of the District. In each specific period, the District Party Committee issued programs to implement the tasks of building an elegant and civilized lifestyle in accordance with actual conditions and situations.
The Hoang Mai District Party Committee has directed and implemented propagation of the Directive No. 11-CT/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee, linked its implementation with “Study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style’ and the movement “All people unite to build cultural life”. Notably, 14/14 wards in the District have established their campaign committees consisted of representatives of departments, agencies and unions, to encourage their people to hold weddings in a civilized lifestyle; in many residential groups, before the families hold the weddings, members of their Campaign Committee visit and mobilize them to hold a civilized and economical wedding.
As a result, in the past 10 years, the whole district had 15,534 weddings, most of them were organized simply with attendance of close friends and relatives only. Before holding the wedding, the couples visit the People’s Committee of the ward to register their marriage. Most families simplified their weddings, removed the costly and wasteful “wedding challenge” in their engagement ceremony; the weddings have been carried out according to the national traditional rites, matching conditions and circumstances of each family, ensuring civilization and savings. Most weddings are held in one day, without ostentatious formality, cigarettes, music past 10 p.m. and before 6 a.m.; organization of parties has basically decreased.

Those achievements have been obtained, first of all, thanks to the close leadership and direction of the Party committees, authorities, departments, agencies, and collectives of the district and its grassroots; sense of exemplary observance of officials and party members, especially key officials at all levels, thereby, creating consensus and response and implementation of all classes of the People. Additionally, the propaganda should be carried out regularly and continuously with rich and diverse forms, suitable to the actual situation of each locality and unit.
In the coming time, the Hoang Mai District Party Committee will further direct and effectively implement the Directive No. 11-CT/TU of the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee; consolidate and improve operational efficiency of the Steering Committee of the movement “All people unite to build cultural life” from district to grassroots level; put the criteria for implementing a civilized lifestyle in wedding as criteria for evaluation and consideration of emulation titles for officials, party members, civil servants and public employees and their promotion and appointment. It will also focus on building and duplicating typical examples and model weddings.
