In order to develop Thanh Xuan district into a locality which is more and more civilized, modern, with a bright – green – clean – beautiful environment, over the years, Thanh Xuan district has always considered this an important task. In particular, after the City implemented a plan to improve the quality of construction of wards and towns in Hanoi to meet urban civilization standards for the period 2022-2025, Thanh Xuan district has actively implemented it to all wards, forming a routine for many years. Since then, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety in the locality, improving the quality of people’s life, contributing to building a civilized lifestyle, building the image of elegant and civilized Hanoians in Thanh Xuan district.
In the process of implementing civilized urban lifestyle, Thanh Xuan district has mobilized all classes of people and wards to carry out environmental protection movements, especially activities of sorting waste at source, solving the problem of plastic waste; model residential areas for environmental protection, green and environmentally friendly consumption, including environmental protection content in the conventions and rules of building local cultural families, considering it as one of the important content of the implementation of the Movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” and effectively implement policies and laws on environmental protection. 11/11 wards have organized many environmental protection activities such as meetings, organized models of garbage collection and classification… Some wards, such as Thanh Xuan Trung ward, have implemented and performed well the civilized urban street construction.
Implementing a civilized lifestyle, Thanh Xuan district has also implemented many other measures such as: arranging temporary markets and unstable markets in the area, organizing a campaign to remove unauthorized ads, encouraging wards to draw murals to propagate civilized lifestyles; effectively building and implementing the model of cultural residential area, civilized behavior in residential groups and apartment buildings, especially the model of 5-no cultural residential groups, 5-no cultural residential areas. Besides, Thanh Xuan district also regularly propagates and mobilizes a large number of people living in streets and alleys to maintain their participation in general environmental sanitation every Saturday morning, in order to ensure clean and beautiful environment. The environmental sanitation movement on weekends also has the active participation of sectors and mass organizations such as the Women’s Union and the Youth Union.
One of the criteria of a civilized ward is to decorate the alleys and flower streets to make them spacious and clean. Coming to, the roads, streets, lane and alleys in Thanh Xuan district, we will see most of them are spacious with beautiful, lively and colorful flower pots and flower streets. The residential groups and residential areas all have beautiful murals that reflect the life of Thanh Xuan district and the capital and encourage people to actively protect and preserve the living environment.
