On 08/3/2022, the Standing Committee of Thanh Tri District Women’s Union held an online & offline celebration to memorialize the 112th anniversary of International Women’s Day (8/3) and the 1982th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising.

Before conducting the celebration, the District Women’s Union hung a signboard of “Mural painting” work at Vu Lang street, Tu Khoat village, Ngu Hiep commune to welcome the 13th National Women’s Congress for the term 2022 – 2027. The work was completed after nearly 1 month, with the active participation of 100 female officers and members and a socialization budget of 50 million VND, contributing to embellish landscape, spread the awareness of protecting the green – clean – beautiful living environment among women officers, members and all people classes.
At the celebration, representatives of the women’s union together recalled the tradition of 112 years of International Women’s Day on March 8 and 1982 years of the Hai Ba Trung uprising.
Continuing the indomitable heroic tradition of Vietnamese women, over the past years, all levels of Thanh Tri district women’s union have promoted their sense of responsibility, always be dynamic, creative, overcome difficulties, regularly change new content and operation method suitable to the tasks of each period to meet requirements and aspirations of all women classes, thereby encouraging and attracting a large number of women to participate in the union activities, effectively implement emulation movements and key tasks launched by all levels, mobilize all women classes to unite, innovate and be creative in their work, contributing to the development of local economy. For example, the emulation movement “Training moral qualities of Confidence – Self-respect – Loyalty – Courage of Vietnamese Women”, “Capital’s Women behave nicely” and 02 Codes of Conduct of the City. Through practical activities, all levels of union have continued to affirm women position in the new era, actively contributing to the performance of socio-economic tasks, ensuring national security and defense of the locality.
Launching a movement of plastic waste prevention to protect environment

Promoting achievements in the past time, at the celebration, Standing Committee of the District Women’s Union launched a movement for women to behave nicely, practise the elegant and civilized lifestyle of Hanoians in the 4.0 era; launched a movement of plastic waste prevention, waste classification based on source and launched the union branch “Women live green”, “Women behave nicely, elegantly and civilly” in 2022.
