The Argentine Tango & Gastronomy Festival is an outdoor festival with a variety of performances and dance classes conducted by Tango clubs in Hanoi such as: “Tango Hanoi”, “El Cielo Tango” and “El Cielo Tango”. Throughout the night, there are Tango performances and basic steps taught to the public.
Different Booths for Argentinian food and products will be set up at the Octagonal House at Ly Thai To Garden in Hoan Kiem District, the specialty “asado argentino – typical Argentine barbecue cuisine” will be presented by “Los Fuegos” Restaurant, accompanied by Argentine wine from Warehouse and Da Loc. People will also be able to taste the popular “churros with duice de leche”. The Argentine Embassy will have its official stand with tourist and cultural information about the natural beauties that travelers can find in the South American country.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Tran Thi Van Anh, Vice-Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports affirmed: This special festival is a meaningful activity to introduce the typical cultural features of Argentina, through music, cuisine, beautiful natural images to Vietnamese people. With the thoughtful and effective preparation of the Embassy of Argentina, the citizens will have the opportunity to experience the unique culture of Argentina through Tango dances, typical Argentinian drinks and cuisine in the Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street.
In 2023, two countries Vietnam and Argentina celebrate 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations. Nearly five decades after the formalization of bilateral relations, despite the geographical distance between the two countries, Argentina and Vietnam elevated their relationship to a comprehensive partnership in 2010, the capital Buenos Aires and the capital Hanoi signed a friendship and cooperation agreement to promote trade, cultural activities and tourism in 2008. This achievement is the result of friendship based on mutual interests, prosperity and happiness of two nations and a strong and effective cooperation relationship between the Government and People of Argentina-Vietnam.
In the field of culture, the city of Hanoi always welcomes and supports the Argentine Embassy in Vietnam in organizing cultural and art exchange events to strengthen the friendship between the two countries./.
