Closely follow the direction of the District Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee of Gia Lam District, in 2018, the Center for Culture, Information and Sports has promoted propaganda for political tasks; organizing cultural, art and sport activities to serve the people with many outstanding and comprehensive results in all fields. With such achievements, the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Gia Lam District has recently been recommended for offering an emulation flag of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Promoting the initiative and creative spirit, the Center has directed and urged the professional teams to implement the operational plan in the assigned tasks such as: Speeding up propaganda to serve the district’s political tasks; organizing cultural, art and sports activities to celebrate great holidays and anniversaries of the country; implementing administrative reforms; maintaining working style; strengthening administrative disciplines; and coordinating with the departments, unions and organizations in organizing events to serve people in the area …
In 2018, the Center implemented 368 radio programs with a total of 3,678 news, articles and documents and built 9 categories on 7 days a week. In addition to the fixed categories, the Center also built more categories for political tasks; coordinated in providing 158 articles in collaboration with radio programs of Hanoi Radio Television and wrote hundreds of the articles and news in coordination with other press agencies such as New Hanoi Newspaper, Capital Security Newspaper and Journal of Urban Economics …
Visual decoration, propaganda and mobilization activities have been implemented basically, closely and timely to serve the political tasks of the country, of the Capital and of the district with 250 horizontal banners and 295 transversal banners on a total of 290m2 slogan banners and more than 800 flags of all kinds; and 1,995m2 panels newly replaced.
Art performances have been carried out with many activities such as: successfully organizing the “Party – Spring – Ethnic Group” Song and Dance Festival and the Arts Festival of hamlet clubs, TDP with the participation of 44 clubs attracting thousands of visitors. Summer activities have been deployed with interesting contents such as: training of the collective song and dance programs at City and District level, organizing the district-level collective song and dance and Mang Non song festival in 22 communes and towns and participating in the city-level collective song and dance and Mang Non song festival with prize A1. Tuoi Hong Club continues to perform in 11 communes and town in summer… Library activities are regularly maintained with a total of 16,000 documents, books and newspapers of the district library and the local book cabinet.
In the field of sports, the Center has successfully organized 47 traditional sports events and district-level summer sport events; deployed sports competitions as planned; provided professional support and training for communes and towns in organizing Sports Games at grassroots; participated in all sports competitions organized by the City and won 69 medals of all kinds, including 24 gold medals, 20 silver medals and 25 bronze medals. In particular, the district’s Athletics team participated in the 45th Hanoimoi (New Ha Noi) Newspaper Run for Peace and won the championship. Gia Lam athletes in the national team all have achieved excellent results at the national and international competitions such as Do Quoc Luat – Athletics; Chu Duc Tung and Hoang Thi Phuong Giang – Wushu; Doi Dang Tien, Nguyen Xuan Dinh abd Do Dang Toan – Wrestling and Nguyen Huu Nam U17, Tran Dinh Trong U21 – National football team =…
There are more new achievements in 2018 thanks to all efforts of the Center’s staff, officials and employees to raise the sense of responsibility, initiative and creativity in the work. It is also an important foundation for the Center to continue to have more achievements in the New Year 2019.
