The Ba Dinh Party Committee, Government, and People were Happy and Honored to be ranked as a Special National Monument by the Prime Minister, particularly for the Cluster of Relics “The Four Most Sacred Temples” including Voi Phuc Temple and Quan Thanh Temple – Chairman of Ba Dinh District People’s Committee, Mr. Ta Nam Chien,  said at the Opening Ceremony.

The emblems of Thang Long Hanoi are Tran Tay (Voi Phuc Temple) and Tran Bac (Quan Thanh Temple). Despite the ups and downs of history, the Four Most Sacred Temples are still watched over day and night to ensure the peace and prosperity of the historic Thang Long citadel and current Hanoi city.

The Prime Minister signed Decision No. 93 on the ranking of unique national monuments for the 12th term for 5 monuments across the nation on January 18, 2022, with such historical and cultural value. In which, there are historical relics and artistic architecture of Thang Long Four Most Sacred Temples  including Bach Ma Temple (Hoan Kiem District), Voi Phuc Temple, Quan Thanh Temple (Ba Dinh District), Kim Lien Temple (Dong Da District).

“The recognition by the State for the Four Most Sacred Temples clusters with enigmatic vestiges, with historical and cultural significance, art, and architecture is a significant honor for the entire governmental system and the people of the three districts of Ba Dinh, Dong Da, and Hoan Kiem…”

During the ceremony, the Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh, suggested that the Party Committee, local officials, and inhabitants of the Ba Dinh district should closely observe the protection and promotion standards of cultural heritage set forth in the Law on Cultural Heritage. It is important to pay attention to finance and facility investment while putting solutions to the regular and long-term restoration and decoration of artifacts into unique national landmarks with both domestic and international visitors.

The Hanoi leaders also suggested that Ba Dinh District should review and supplement internal rules and regulations on the relics value protection and promotion with the people serve purposes, absolutely not organize commercial and service businesses. The Relics Management Board should raise the sense of responsibility and ensure that the relics are truly model and civilized. This place should be the place to keep the mountains and rivers’ soul – “The Four Most Sacred Temples”, an educational address and patriotic tradition, spirit of solidarity, national pride, forging the will and aspiration to build a prosperous and powerful country for today and future generations.
