Ceremony to receive Certificate of Special National Relic Ranking of Hai Ba Trung temple-pagoda-communal house

Hai Ba Trung temple – pagoda – communal house hall is a complex of unique architectural relics. The most prominent of which is Hai Ba Trung temple with architecture “nội công ngoại quốc”. In the temple, many precious relics are kept, such as 27 dignitaries of the Le and Nguyen dynasties, eight worshipping statues, two ancient stone steles inscribed with the tale of Hai Ba, two palanquin palaces in the Nguyen Dynasty, etc. Vien Minh Pagoda is on the left of the temple. In the pagoda, there are also many valuable artifacts such as 76 worshipping statues created during the Nguyen Dynasty, 20 stone steles, etc. Dinh Dong Nhan worshipping Cao Son Dai Vuong, Quoc Vuong Thien Tu, Do Ho Dai Vuong and the water spirits who have merit for the people living along the river. This is a rare relic complex in the center of the capital, preserved almost intact with a full range of typical architectural types of temples, pagodas and communal houses.

On the occasion of the relic cluster ranked as a special National Monument, the Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy suggested that Hai Ba Trung district should continue to effectively manage and promote the value of the relic population, and strengthen traditional cultural communication and educate the historical significance of monuments. Along with that, building a plan to exploit and attract tourists to serve the economic and social development of the Capital.

At the Ceremony to receive the Special National Monument Ranking, the temple – pagoda – communal house in Hai Ba Trung, there also took place a special art program with special traditional culture.
