During this 4th pandemic outbreak, given the most complicated developments than ever, closely following the propaganda orientation of the Propaganda and Education Department of the District Party Committee and the guiding documents of the Central, City and District Authorities, the propaganda has been carried out systematically and consistently. The Department of Culture and Information of Long Bien district has actively directed and guided the wards to conduct propaganda of the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control works with appropriate content and in diversified form, depending on the real situation of each locality, following the motto of being proactive, flexible, creative, diverse, and effective.
Especially, since the beginning of implementing the City’s Directive No. 17 up to now, all propaganda channels of the district and wards such as ward loudspeaker system, loudspeaker system within apartment buildings, district/ward portal, social media like Zalo, Facebook, visual propaganda, mobile propaganda vehicles in densely populated areas and public places, have been mobilized to the fullest extent and provided information in a quick, effective, and timely manner.
Oral propaganda also appears to be effective. The district and its 14 wards have guided mobile teams, forces at checkpoints and the community Covid-19 groups to regularly propagate and promptly remind people to take measures to prevent and control the pandemic as prescribed.

Visual propaganda has been promoted in Long Bien District. The District installed 3 large panel assemblies at Gia Lam Train Factory (100m2), Thach Ban slope (50m2), and Ngo Gia Tu pedestrian overpass (40m2), and 600 propaganda banners. The wards made 95 slogans, 1200 bulletins, nearly 3800 5K message posters and QR codes. Besides, billboards and bulletins were placed in crowded areas such as markets, flower gardens, parks, historical and cultural relics, etc.
Ms. Le Thi Huong, the Head of the Culture and Information Department of Long Bien district, said that for many recent months, the civil servants and officials in the culture and information sector from the district level to the ward level have always been standing and ready to carry out their task of propaganda of Covid-19 prevention and control work. During the 4th pandemic outbreak, they have promoted their roles and responsibilities by actively participating in the pandemic prevention and control work, learning and updating the grassroots developments and situation, and fully communicate and give information on the Covid-19 prevention and control activities in the area by writing in-depth articles and news, reflecting good models, typical examples, etc., timely reporting and posting on the district’s mass media, to propagate, cheer, and encourage the frontline forces in the fight against the pandemic.

Through propaganda, the guiding documents on pandemic prevention and control of all levels are imparted to the people in a quick and accurate manner. Articles about typical examples, free meal servings and gift bags, charity activities of many individuals and organizations, etc., and especially the effective models in the pandemic prevention and control work were quickly propagated and replicated throughout the district, thereby contributing to supporting, cheering, and encouraging the members of Party committees and people of Long Bien district in the fight against the pandemic. This also shows the spirit of mutual love and affection, the solidarity and union for the Long Bien district where no one is left behind due to the pandemic.
It can be affirmed that, given the unpredictable developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, functional sectors, committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, and mass organizations at all levels in Long Bien district have been actively and effectively taking the measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic, in which, the combination of various forms of propaganda has provided people with clear and proper information on the pandemic, thereby raising the awareness and responsibilities of all levels and sectors, and people in implementing the pandemic prevention and control measures, minimizing the number of cases in the community, firmly protecting the “green area”, and contributing to resuming the normal life soon.
