The movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” has been widely deployed, receiving the active participation of the various sections of the people. By the end of 2020, the whole commune has 1249 households with the title of cultural family (reaching 95%); maintains the title of 3 cultural villages and 2 cultural agencies. Dai Cuong people are active in economic development, improving living standards, but always attach great importance to traditional cultural values. The tradition of mutual love and affection is preserved and promoted by the people here. Over the years, Dai Cuong people have actively contributed to supporting humanitarian and charitable activities to achieve or exceed assigned targets; ready to help in difficult cases. In 2020, the commune has implemented to support people facing difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic according to Resolution No. 42/NQ-CP of the Government and Decision No. 15/2020/QD-TTg by the Prime Minister; expenditure to support workers who lost their jobs due to the impact of COVID-19 is VND 39 million, to support people with meritorious services, social insurance beneficiaries, poor and near-poor households affected by the pandemic, the total amount is 592.7 million VND.

To meet the people’s need to enjoy healthy, useful cultural and spiritual values, the commune authority regularly organizes cultural activities, mass art, physical training and sports on anniversaries and festivals, Tet holidays with a large number of participants of all ages; thereby, contributing to strengthening the great unity block of the whole people as well as promoting the movement of physical training and sports, participating in cultural and artistic activities among people of all strata.

Dai Cuong people also always care about and preserve the cultural heritage left by their ancestors. The remarkable thing about Dai Cuong is that there are communal houses and pagodas in every village. Giang Trieu communal house and Day pagoda (Kim Giang village) have been granted historical relics by the Ministry of Culture and Information (currently known as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism). Day Pagoda is the place where the comrade, Hoang Quoc Viet used to hide and work as a revolutionary soldier. In Kim Giang village, there is a very beautiful steeple of Ngam pagoda with sophisticated and complicated lines. The Bell Tower was built in the 14th year of Chinh Hoa, one of the historical relics with high artistic value, restored at Thien Tru pagoda in Huong Tich scenic area. Despite the development of economic life, Dai Cuong people always adhere to the regulations on civilized lifestyle in organizing festivals, not ostentatiously, in a form that focuses on the cohesion of the village, the traditional education of the homeland.

With positive contributions to the two resistance wars, Dai Cuong Commune’s Party Committee, Government and People were honored to be awarded many noble titles by the Party and State, including the title Hero of the People’s Armed Forces during the French war period. In 2016, the commune was recognized as meeting the new rural commune standard (completed 3 years before the resolution of the communal Party Congress). Currently, officials and people are making efforts to implement the newly enhanced rural criteria.

Upholding the tradition of the homeland, cadres and people of Dai Cuong continue to agree and are determined to well complete the tasks of socio-economic development, building an increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized homeland.
