Dan Phuong district commends and rewards athletes who are children of Dan Phuong’s homeland that competed and got achievements at SEA Games 31
Jujitsu of the Southeast Asian Games – 31st SEA Games was held at the Dan Phuong District Multi-Purpose Gymnasium on May 14 and 15, 2022. There were 34 athletes from 7 countries in the region that had competed in 6 games of performance and confrontation, including 3 men’s weight categories and 3 women’s weight categories.
After two days of competing determinedly, the Vietnamese delegation outstandingly won 02 golds, 01 silver and 02 bronze medals, ranked second as a whole team after the Philippines team with 02 gold, 02 silver and 02 bronze medals. The Thailand delegation ranked third with 01 gold, 01 silver and 01 bronze.
With the achievements, the 31st Jujitsu SEA Games held in Dan Phuong was a great success, leaving a good impression and affection in the hearts of people and international friends. The success of SEA Games 31 shows the efforts and endeavors of the Party Committee, authorities and people of Dan Phuong district in general and the SEA Games’ Organizing Committee of Dan Phuong district in particular.
Rewarding individual with achievement in organizing and serving 31st SEA Games
For the first time hosting a sport event within the program of the SEA Games, Dan Phuong district has prepared thoughtfully and actively for this important event. Before and during the SEA Games, many cultural and artistic activities took place in the district in order to strengthen the propaganda, promotion and welcome the biggest sports festival in the region.
Dan Phuong District People’s Committee has directed the Center of Culture, Information and Sports to collaborate with the Department of Education and Training and the District Youth Union to organize a painting exhibition of the theme “Dan Phuong Children join hands in the prevention and control of Covid-19” and extracurricular activities for teenagers and children on Saturday and Sunday evenings. The extracurricular activities had attracted many people and children from all over the district to participate such as “Culinary Garden”, “Baby learns to be an artist”. Kid’s activities had attracted the children, making the exhibition lively, children were guided many different games, traditional games with high educational value have attracted thousands of participants.
Rewarding the collectives with excellent achievement in organization of Cultural Week program “May Festival”
Program of the Cultural Week “May Festival” with 5 performance nights of 4 theaters, including Hanoi Drama Theaters, Hanoi Cai Luong, Hanoi Cheo and 2 nights of mass cultural festival had attracted tens of thousands of people in and outside the district to watch and cheer. Through historical dramas which educated traditional patriotism, compassion, and pride of the Vietnamese people, the audiences had absorbed the quintessence of contemporary and traditional art of our nation. This is an opportunity for art-lovers of Dan Phuong to dig with many different artistic activities to learn, exchange and enjoy cultural and artistic values.
Cultural week “May Day” ended successfully with 2 nights of mass art festival with 32 notable performances from 16 communes and townlets, including various forms of singing, dancing, music, and festival drum. The performances participated in the festival are the depictions of a colorful picture of the heroic Dan Phuong hometown, the pride of the homeland of the Movement “Woman – 3 Responsibility”, affection, belief, and pride of the heroic Dan Phuong hometown which is innovating, changing and developing day by day. The singing of members of cultural and art clubs, of amateur artists in the whole district had sent to the audience the love for the homeland, praise of the glorious Party, and beloved Uncle Ho.
At the convention, Dan Phuong district had honored, praised and rewarded 6 athletes (athletes) who are the children of Dan Phuong’s hometown and participated in the competition and achieved high results at the 31st SEA Games, including athlete Pham Thi Thu Hoai (Dich Trung village, Phuong Dinh commune) won gold medal in the women’s team Sabre; Athlete Bui Thi Thu Ha (Bai Thap village, Dong Thap commune) won the gold medal in the individual women’s fencing and gold medal in women’s team sabre; Athlete Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong (Dich Trung village, Phuong Dinh commune) won bronze in the Women’s fencing; Athlete Dang Tuan Anh (Bai Thuy village, Dong Thap commune) won silver in the men’s fencing; Athlete Tran Van Dang (Cluster 6, Tho Xuan commune) won silver in the 1500m race, bronze in the 800m race; Athlete Nguyen Thi Hien (Phung Town) won bronze medal in petanque.
On this occasion, Dan Phuong district had also commended and rewarded 3 collectives and 22 individuals with achievements in organizing and serving the 31st Southeast Asian Games; 4 collectives and 19 individuals have made excellent achievements in organizing the Cultural Week Program “May Day” in 2022.
