Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Pham Xuan Tai presenting prizes to excellent athletes in Rowing – the 9th National Sports Festival in Hai Phong.
Rowing is the opening event of the 9th National Sports Festival taking place from November 18 to 23, 2022 at Hai Phong Rowing Center in Thuy Nguyen District. Rowing event of The IX National Sports Festival had the participation of 162 athletes (80 men and 82 women) of 18 units across the country. The athletes competed to win 20 medals, including 10 medals for men and 10 medals for women.
The couple of athletes Dinh Thi Hao – Pham Thi Ngoc won 2 gold medals for Rowing Hanoi
After 6 days of competition, the rowing event of the 9th National Sports Festival ended with the following results: Ho Chi Minh City team ranked first in the medal chart with 4 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 1 bronze medal; Da Nang was in second rank with 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals. Hai Duong was in the third rank with 4 gold medals and 3 bronze medals.
Hanoi rowing team completed the task at the Festival with 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals.
Specifically, 3 gold medals belonged to the following categories: Women’s lightweight double-hull double-scull event and Women’s lightweight double-hull single-scull event. These two gold medals were the achievements of athlete couple Dinh Thi Hao and Pham Thi Ngoc Anh. The remaining gold medal was given to the women’s lightweight single-hull event of athlete Dinh Thi Hao.
Athletes Dinh Thi Hao – Pham Thi Ngoc won 2 gold medals for Rowing Hanoi
The silver medal belonged to the men’s lightweight quadruple event of 4 athletes: Nguyen Xuan Anh, Dinh Khanh Hoang, Nguyen Van Anh and Nguyen Van Tuan.
Three bronze medals belong to the following events: Men’s quadruple event with four athletes Nguyen Van Duc, Pham Minh Chinh, Nguyen Thanh Dung, Ngo Quang Khanh; Men’s quadruple single-scull event with four athletes Nguyen Van Duc, Pham Minh Chinh, Pham Van Thai and Nguyen Van Anh; and Men’s lightweight double-hull event with two athletes Dinh Khanh Hoang and Nguyen Van Tuan.
