In an effort to foster physical fitness activities, notably chess, the Center for Culture, Information and Sports, in collaboration with the Dong Anh District Chess Club, is set to organize the 2023 Summer Chess Championship, vying for the prestigious Dong Anh Chess Cup.
This championship welcomes participants from the district who share a passion for the game of chess.
The championship will be structured into various age groups, including U6, U7, U8, and U10 for both males and females, an expanded open category for both genders, and an extended category for parents.
Dong Anh District has been consistently organizing chess championships.
Students in Dong Anh District have shown a keen interest in chess.
Each category will engage in direct competition through seven rounds, with a time limit of 10 minutes per player per round. The championship will adhere to the current Chess Federation of Vietnam regulations.
The 2023 Summer Chess Championship in Dong Anh District aims to provide competitive exposure for participants, preparing them for the upcoming City and National Chess Championships.
The championship is scheduled to commence on August 27, 2023.
