Recently, the Relics and Scenic Spots Management Board under Ha Noi Department of Culture and sports has organized a ceremony to award the certification of municipal level relic to Dong Tru temple which belongs to the street group No. 18, Thuong Thanh ward, Long Bien district, Ha Noi.

Dong Tru temple (belonging to the street group No. 18, Thuong Thanh ward) lies within the complex of relics of Dong Tru hamlet, Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district, Ha Noi. Dong Tru temple dated back long time ago. Over the two wars, the temple was destroyed, damaged but still is remaining many remnants at present. Until 2000, with the attention by the People’s Committee of Gia Lam district and contributions by the local people, the temple has been renovated and renewed as nowadays..

Mr. Nguyen Doan Van, Deputy Director of the Relics and Scenic Spots Management Board presents the certification of municipal level relic to Dong Tru temple.

At the function, Mr. Nguyen Doan Van, Deputy Director of the Relics and Scenic Spots Management Board announced the Decision No. 2273/QD-UBND dated 14th April 2017 issued by Ha Noi People’s  Committee and presented the certification of municipal level relic to Dong Tru temple to the representative of Thuong Thanh ward’s administration.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Hong, Vice Chairwoman of the Ward People’s Committee thanked for the concerns given by all the sectors, branches to Dong Tru temple for the past period. She also affirmed that in the coming time, the Ward Administration as well as sub-Committee for Dong Tru tmeple management will strictly observe the regulations, carry out well the managerial work  and protect the relic in order to make it become a place of relisious worship place for people as well as to maintain its historical tradition of worshipping Lieu Hanh, one of the four immortals as related in the Vietnamese folk story and handed down to future generations.
