Reporting to the Supervisory Delegation of the City People’s Council, Standing Vice Chairman of My Duc District People’s Committee Dang Van Canh said immediately after the Resolution is issued, the district concretized it with plans and programs for cultural development associated with local socio-economic development, at the same time, focused on propaganda on cultural planning and development with many rich and diverse forms, thereby creating positive changes in civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals in the region.

In addition, My Duc also pays much attention to the management, use, renovation, embellishment and promotion of the value of the monument. Currently, the district has 282 relics, of which 122 have been ranked (with 1 special national relic complex, Huong Pagoda). Over the past time, the district has invested, restored and embellished 40/96 degraded relics. Along with that, the investment in construction, exploitation and management of cultural institutions is also carried out in a synchronous direction with 122/122 villages with cultural houses, 3/3 of residential groups with cultural houses. Particularly in the 2013-2021 period, the district has invested VND 708 billion for the development of the cultural field.

Also according to Standing Vice Chairman of the My Duc District People’s Committee Dang Van Canh, besides the positive results, over the past time, the protection, restoration and embellishment of the district’s relics also have limitations such as untimeliness, slow and difficult funding,  lack of cultural institutions of the district and some communes, small scale, and degradation.

Concluding at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Council Pham Quy Tien suggested that in the coming time, My Duc district needs to strengthen the leadership, direction and administration of the Party committees and authorities at all levels, create consensus and mobilize a large number of people to participate in the process of building and developing culture. The district should continue to promote propaganda, mobilization and awareness-raising of all levels of Party committees, authorities, mass organizations and people about the purpose, meaning and importance of cultural planning and development tasks, at the same time, review and evaluate the implementation of the local cultural planning, integrate the content of the cultural development planning in the district’s socio-economic development programs, schemes and plans accordingly.

Vice Chairman of the City People’s Council Pham Quy Tien also suggested that My Duc district soon complete the inventory, classification and assessment of the current status of relics in the area as a basis for building professional action plans such as grading, setting up landmarks, collecting and supplementing documents of relics, renovating and embellishing relics and activities to promote values, associating the preservation of relics with tourism development; continue to invest in building the missing cultural institutions. In the coming time, in addition to balancing and allocating budget resources for the cultural sector, My Duc also needs to promote socialization and mobilize all resources for cultural development.
