Enhancement of the role of community and family in COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control activities

In implementation of Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 issued by the Prime Minister on urgent measures to prevent and control COVID-19, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism of the provinces..

In implementation of Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 issued by the Prime Minister on urgent measures to prevent and control COVID-19, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism of the provinces and centrally-run cities to take the following measures:

Strictly complying with the Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 issued by the Prime Minister on the implementation of urgent measures to prevent and control COVID-19 pandemic; following the principle of social distancing between families, between villages, between communes, betweet districts, and between provinces; in workshops and factories: ensuring the safe distance, wearing mask, performing sterilization and disinfection as prescribed.

Taking measures to promote the roles and responsibilities of families and clans in disseminating and propagating to raise awareness among individuals of the necessity to voluntarily comply with requirements and measures regarding the pandemic prevention and control; make voluntary medical declarations; fully implement self-protection measures for themselves, their families, and communities; participate and take responsibility in pandemic prevention and control activities; promptly detect and report any violations and false information to the relevant authorities in the locality; promptly share, encourage and support families facing difficulties due to the pandemic; promote the spirit of mutual love and solidarity in the community.

Regarding the implementation of a civilized lifestyle: For weddings: requesting, instructing and recommending people to delay their wedding to a later time when the pandemic ends; advising people to hold only wedding announcement ceremony instead of wedding party.

For funeral: requesting people not to make meals and invite guests on the day of funeral and on other relevant days; taking measures to prevent and control the pandemic as prescribed.

For grave-visiting festival: requesting people not to gather, ensure a minimum distance of 2m between people; requesting families and clans not to organize parties, meetings and other forms of gathering during the pandemic time.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism of the provinces and centrally-run cities to strictly comply with regulations.
