“Fire of the Youth”: Memories of the spring time

This activity aims at the 88th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (26/3/1931 – 26/3/2019), 69 years of traditional days of the Young Volunteers (15/7/1950 – 15/7/2019) and 55 years of “Ba sẵn sàng (Youth are Ready for Three Tasks)” movement (9/8/1964 – 9/8/2019).

With three major themes of “The Song of the Youth”, “Starlight in Prison”, and “Trust and Aspiration“, the exhibition aims to introduce the birth of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; show gratitude at contributions and sacrifice made by generations of Vietnamese youth towards national independence freedom and in two national resistance wars against the US and the French

In addition, the exhibition also brings to the public 25 artifacts associated with the youth memories, the process of Youth Union activities of historical witnesses, such as the “Vietnam Labor Youth Union” Badge, Certificates of Merit and letters, .

At the opening, visitors have the opportunity to meet the historical witnesses who are veterans, youth volunteers and resistance students, and take photos with interestingly and uniquely designed portable slogans. These are motivational and inspirational phrases like: Life has a sky and I have wings; You will see the rainbow in the rain and the stars in the dark; and Life is a sea and anyone who doesn’t swim will sink…

Documents, objects, photos, and records of interviews in the exhibits themed “Fire of the Youth” will help the visitors further understand development of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union as well as the contributions made by generations of Vietnamese youth towards national independence freedom and encourage today’s Vietnamese youngsters to uphold their ancestors’ traditions and make further efforts to make Vietnam a strong and prosperous country.
