The short play: Spirit of Physical Fitness is adapted from the short story of the same name by writer Nguyen Cong Hoan, scriptwriter – director: People’s Artist Nguyen Trung Hieu and has been performed by the Hanoi Drama Theatre for many months now.
Spirit of Physical Fitness is in the project “Introduction and performance of plays adapted from famous Vietnamese and world literary works included in the general education program at schools in Hanoi city in the period 2022-2030” of Hanoi Drama Theatre (referred to as the “School Theater Project”).
The play has excellently absorbed the satirical and satirical qualities of writer Nguyen Cong Hoan. Script author – director People’s Artist Nguyen Trung Hieu has created a play with witty and humorous laughter, but hidden in every sentence, word and situation of the story is a satirical feature, attacking snobbery. of mandarins, attacking the corrupt feudal colonial regime, as well as clearly portraying a society full of injustice and oppression for farmers.

Continuing to implement the “School Theater Project” in 2023, Hanoi Drama Theatre recently performed at the Hanoi Museum, serving nearly 500 students of My Dinh High School and once again affirming its attraction to the play’s student audience.
The actors of the Hanoi Drama Theatre still enthusiastically practice the play Spirit of Physical Fitness every day to better serve the audience.
