The Organizing Committee awarded gold medals to 4 excellent plays
The Fifth International Experimental Theatre Festival – Hanoi 2022 was organized by the Vietnam Stage Artists Association in collaboration with the Department of Performing Arts. The festival took place in Hanoi from November 15 to 26, 2022 with the participation of 4 international art units and 16 domestic art units with a total of 19 works.
The Organizing Committee awarded silver medals to 5 plays
After two exciting weeks, the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the Festival were solemnly held at Dai Nam Theatre on the evening of November 26, 2022.
Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia awarded the Special Prize to the “special” play – The 72nd Letter of Le Ngoc Theatre
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 gold medals to Vietnamese works, including: Love Song on the Mountain – Vietnam National Puppetry Theatre, The Person in Memory – Vietnam Drama Theatre, Thuong Thien Thanh Mau – Vietnam Cai Luong Theatre and Vietnam Circus Federation, To the other side – Hai Phong Drama Troupe.
The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the creative participants
Besides, the Organizing Committee also awarded silver medals for 5 plays: Hedda Gabler of the Youth Theatre of Vietnam; Miss teaches her husband of Military Drama Theatre; Antigone of the Lucteam Stage; The oath of Hai Phong Puppetry Art Troupe; Oedipus the King of Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema.
Awarding gold medals to artists and actors
Le Ngoc Theatre’s play “The 72nd Letter” was awarded a Special Prize by the Festival Organizing Committee for the play about the image of President Ho Chi Minh.
Two artists of Hanoi Drama Theatre Thuy Duong and Tien Loc won the festival’s gold medals
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to the creative participants, including: Best Painter to Meritorious Artist Doan Bang (The Play The Person in Memory), Best Musician to Meritorious Artist Phung Tien Minh (The Play Hanoi People Heart), Best Director to People’s Artist Nguyen Tien Dung (The Play Love Song on the Mountain), Best Light to artist Nhu Son (The Play Love Song on the Mountain), Best Art Director to Meritorious Artist Le Thu (The play To the other side).
Regarding acting, the Organizing Committee awarded 28 gold medals and 39 silver medals to the artists and actors participating in the festival.
Outstanding Artists of Hanoi Drama Theatre in the Festival
Hanoi Drama Theatre is the only art unit of Hanoi capital to attend the festival with the play “Hanoi People Heart“. The work not only received the love of the audience, but also won 2 individual gold medals, 3 individual silver medals and the Best Musician Award for the Hanoi Drama Theatre. In particular: artists Tien Loc and Thuy Duong won gold medals; artists Chi Nhan, Hoang Duong and Hong Lien won silver medals. Meritorious Artist Phung Tien Minh, director and musician of the play, won the Festival’s Best Musician Award.
