Accordingly, the plan identifies some specific targets, including detecting, arresting, and handling 180 drug-related cases (in which the number of illegal drug trafficking cases accounts for 40% or more); focuses on solving and eliminating 5 drug-related complex points in the area; proactively reviews, detects and puts complicated points relating to drug into management to focus on measures for the area’s settlement and stability; prepares dossiers to request for application of administrative sanctions measures, and sends 50 drug addicts to compulsory detoxification facility.
The plan states clearly that committees, authorities, and socio-political organizations at all levels of the city need to thoroughly understand and implement strictly the Prime Minister’s direction on the implementation of the Action Month on Drug Prevention and Control 2022; step up the propaganda, dissemination, and education of the law on drug prevention and control, especially the new points of the Law on Drug Prevention and Control 2021.
At the same time, it propagates the history and meaning of Action Month on Drug Prevention and Control and the World Drug Day (June 26, thereby creating a strong change in the sense of responsibility and actions of leaders at committees and authorities at all levels, heads of agencies, units, businesses, schools and all classes of people in public performance of preventing and fighting against crime and drug crimes, contributing to effectively serving the tasks of socio-economic development and foreign affairs of the capital.
Especially, the plan proactively does well the work of grasping the situation and preventing; strengthening the struggle and suppression of crime and drug evils and eliminating drug-related complexities. Drug prevention in schools
The focus of this plan is put on 5 main groups of contents, including: Responding to the Month of Action on Drug Prevention and Control, the International Day of Drug Prevention and Control, and the World Drug Day 2022 with the theme: “Improving the effectiveness of drug addiction treatment and the management of illegal drug users – For a healthy and safe community”. The meeting to respond to the Action Month on Drug Prevention and Control (June) and the World Drug Day (June 26), 2022 were coordinated to organize. The propaganda and prevention of drug on the mass media, in communes, wards, townships, agencies, units and schools were strengthened. A peak of attacks and suppression of drug-related crimes was launched, strengthening the management of addicts and illegal users of narcotics and addiction treatment and post-drug addiction management.
