The art photo contest of “Pride in a border area” aims to renovate and diversify communication and educational methods to raise the sense of responsibility of the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army of all levels, branches, of each official, party member and each citizen for the task of protecting the Fatherland.
Also, the contest is organized to confirm the victories of the guidelines, lines and efforts and achievements of the Party, State and localities – especially in the border regions – in realizing the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress of the Party, contributing to the implementation of the National Border Protection Strategy, building the national borderline on the land of peace, friendship, cooperation and development; firmly protect the Fatherland, maintain the environment of peace, political stability, national security, social order and safety; contradict wrong and hostile viewpoints for the rapid and sustainable development of the country; practically welcome the Party Congress at all levels and 13th Party Congress.
Also, through the contest to communicate and advertise the beauty and potential of the national borderlines on the mainland to a large number of the public at home and abroad; contribute to arousing patriotism, national pride; recognizing and honoring the contributions and sacrifices made by generations of Vietnamese people, the armed forces – especially the border army – to protect independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland; creating changes in awareness and action, making practical contributions to the homeland and the country in the Vietnamese ethnic community at home and abroad.
The contest organizers said that the entries showed the achievements of the innovation and international integration in the process of building and defending the Fatherland in border areas; economic, cultural, social activities, images showing the foreign relations of friendship, peace, cooperation and development of Vietnam and neighboring countries; show off the beauty of the homeland, the country, and people in the land border areas; honoring the typical advanced organizations and individuals, the example of “good people”, “good works”; the tradition of friendship, cooperation, peace and development between Vietnam and the countries sharing the land border.
The entries participating in the contest are of good quality, have high aesthetics, creativity, satisfy the criteria of layout, lines, lighting and propaganda effectiveness, must adhere to the communication direction on the national border work on the mainland; does not violate copyrights and laws.
Participants are professional and non-professional photographers, Vietnamese citizens, overseas Vietnamese, foreigners working and living in Vietnam.
The contest lasted from May 2, 2020 to September 30, 2020 and the contest will be held to summarize, award prizes and exhibitions in November 2020. The contest’s organizers will award 2 first prizes (single photos, set photos), 3 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes for the winners.
