On the afternoon of December 9, 2023, at Phu Vien Football Field, the Labor Union of Long Bien District successfully concluded the 1st Public Sector Union Football Championship 2023.

The championship served as a practical activity to celebrate the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Public Sector Union, 2023-2028 term, and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Labor Union of Long Bien District (December 9, 2003 – December 9, 2023).

The 1st Public Sector Union Football Championship 2023 took place from November 30 to December 9, 2023, with the participation of 14 football teams comprising nearly 200 players from various unions of agencies within Long Bien District.

After intense direct elimination matches, the organizing committee identified the top 4 outstanding teams. The championship title went to the team from Thach Ban Ward Public Sector Union, while the second prize was awarded to the team from Bo De Ward Public Sector Union. The third prize went to the team from Thuong Thanh Ward Public Sector Union. Additionally, the organizing committee presented the Top Scorer Award to Nguyen Van Hung from the Bo De Ward Public Sector Union team, who scored 6 goals.

Held during the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Public Sector Union, 2023-2028 term, and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Labor Union of Long Bien District, the 1st Public Sector Union Football Championship 2023 was a resounding success. The inaugural championship aimed to promote physical activities, following the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh. Simultaneously, it provided an opportunity for union members, officials, and employees of unions from various ward agencies in Long Bien District to exchange experiences, strengthen solidarity, foster mutual understanding, and strive together to excellently fulfill their assigned tasks. It also created a healthy playground for the general sports movement and, specifically, football.
