On the afternoon of November 28, in Hanoi, the Organizing Committee of the National Volleyball Championship of Duc Giang Chemical Cup 2023 held a draw ceremony.

The National Volleyball Championship is the pinnacle tournament in the national competition system, where elite athletes gather to select the national team to prepare and participate in international tournaments, especially 32th SEA Games in Cambodia in May 2023.

The 2023 National Volleyball Championship has the participation of 20 strong clubs across the country, including 10 men’s clubs and 10 women’s clubs.

According to the results of the group draw, Group A – men will include the following teams: Sanet Khanh Hoa, Hanoi, Ha Tinh, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

Group B – men will include the following teams: Trang An Ninh Binh, Binh Duong Construction Materials, Bien Phong, The Cong and Lavie Long An.

Group A – women will include the following teams: Geleximco Thai Binh, Ninh Binh Doveco, Quang Ninh Coal, Vietinbank and Kinh Bac Bac Ninh.

Group B- women will include the following teams: Duc Giang Chemical, VTV Binh Dien Long An, Information Command, Ha Phu Thanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh City.

The first round of the tournament will take place from February 24 to March 19, 2023. Specifically, Group A will take place in Bac Ninh from February 24 to March 5, 2023; Group B will take place at Gia Lam Gymnasium, Hanoi from March 10 to March 19, 2023.

Round II will take place from November 3 to November 26, 2023, of which Group C will take place in Dak Nong from November 3 to November 12, 2023; Group D will take place in Gia Lai from November 17 to November 26, 2023.

The women’s ranking final round takes place in Quang Nam from December 14 to December 17, 2023; Male event will take place in Khanh Hoa from December 21 to December 24, 2023.

The National Volleyball Championship of Duc Giang Chemical Cup 2023 has a total prize money of up to 2.28 billion VND. In which, the first prize is worth 500 million VND; The second prize has a prize of 300 million VND; The third prize has a prize of 200 million VND and the consolation prize is 100 million VND.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded individual prizes such as: Outstanding Attacker, Outstanding Second Passer, Excellent Defensive Player, Excellent Referee Team with prize value for each player. The prize is 10 million VND.

All matches of the National Volleyball Championship 2023 will be televised live on VTV Cable channels – Vietnam Radio and online platforms to serve a large number of fans.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year’s table matches will be held in turn, without duplicates, and will be scheduled on Saturdays, Sundays, or at suitable times for the public to enjoy. On television and digital media, volleyball can be cheered on or viewed live.
