The Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association, Do Hong Quan has just sent a letter to musicians and members of the Vietnam Musicians Association calling for and mobilizing musicians to compose more meaningful musical works to promote the spirit of Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control.
60 songs by 52 authors have been included in the anthology “Trust” to accompany the whole country in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the letter, musician Do Hong Quan shared that currently, the Covid-19 pandemic is happening very complicatedly across the country and especially our compatriots in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces and cities. Musicians and artists across the country want to contribute their musical voice to share with each person in the pandemic-hit areas, sympathize with and encourage frontline forces in the tough fight against the pandemic. People join hands to fight the pandemic, uphold their will, have a sense of responsibility to society, abide by the regulations on law-making, and unite the whole people and the Government to win the pandemic. Every citizen is a soldier on the front of the pandemic prevention so that the COVID-19 pandemic is soon controlled…
The Vietnam Musicians Association calls on the musicians and artist members to be responsible to the community. “At this time, music from the heart of each person will be a spiritual food to help the entire Party, army and people overcome difficulties and repel the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association emphasized.
Accordingly, composers with new compositions can submit works on A4 paper to the Office of the Vietnam Musicians Association; or send demos to email address: vanphonghoinhacsivietnam@gmail.com.
On the basis of receiving, the Vietnam Musicians Association will coordinate with the Radio the Voice of Vietnam Theater and certain art units to select, stage and record quality works and bring the works to the public.
Before that, in 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic appeared, in a short time, the Vietnamese music also made effective contributions with their works and the whole country to fight the pandemic. The set of songs “Trust” and the online concert were presided over by the Vietnam Musicians Association with the reception of a large number of the public, thereby contributing to raising the spirit of solidarity, the strength of determination to win the pandemic.
