On May 13, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports issued Document No. 1231/SVHTT-QLVH to departments, agencies, city armed forces and People’s Committees of districts, towns on hoisting the national flag to celebrate the election of members to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.
The official dispatch clearly states and implements the direction by Mr. Chu Xuan Dung – Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee in the Notice No. 317/TB-UBND dated May 5, 2021, on the raising of the national flag to celebrate the election of members to the 15th National Assembly and the election of members to the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports proposed the city’s departments, agencies, branches and armed forces to hoist the national flag at the offices; directed affiliated units to fly the national flag in accordance with regulations; checked and urged the units to conduct the raising of the national flag.
For the People’s Committees of districts, towns, they must hoist the national flag at the office; guide affiliated units, agencies and units located in the area, the People’s Committees of communes, wards and townships to hoist the national flag in accordance with regulations; inspect and urge the local agencies and unit stationed in the locality to hoist the national flag.
The time to hoist the flag is from May 15, 2021 to the end of May 25, 2021 with the following requirements: When hoisting the flag, the size of the flag must be fit in with the flagpole or flagstaff. Flagpoles, flagstaffs and flag strings must ensure beauty and uniformity; It is recommended to use suitable, strong, and durable handles and strings; The flag when hoisting must be flat, not wrinkled, creased; Flags are hung in a solemn and respectful position.
