Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam affirmed: Solidarity was a precious tradition of our nation crystallized through thousands of years of history of nation building and defense. Our Party and President Ho Chi Minh always attached great importance to building, consolidating and expanding the great national unity bloc. Under the leadership of the Party, people of all classes, regardless of their backgrounds, ethnic or religious classes, gathered in solidarity with the flag of the United National Front of Vietnam to create great strength and create The August Revolution was the history of the struggle for national liberation to unify the country and defend the Fatherland. During 92 years of establishment and development, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has gathered and united more and more people of all classes in the great unity bloc, contributing to the accomplishment of the noble revolutionary goal set by our Party initiating and leading.

The Great Unity of Ethnic Groups Week is an annual activity held at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, which is a convergence of typical cultural values ​​of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. Activities towards this year’s Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day have a profound meaning, responding to the National Cultural Conference, and at the same time, praising typical examples from ethnic communities throughout the country, honoring conservation activities promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups. The Great Solidarity Week will introduce the beauty of traditional culture spreading human values, the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, love for the country and people of Vietnam.

The Deputy Prime Minister proposed the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations at all levels, branches, organizations, agencies and units continue to work together, contribute to economic recovery and production development, continue to promote learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style, pay more attention to building social ethical standards, promote national pride, self-reliance and self-reliance to strengthen the great national unity bloc, creating a solid spiritual foundation to move the country forward on the path of integration and development.

The “Great Unity of Ethnic Groups – Vietnamese Cultural Heritage” week in 2022, will take place from November 18 to 23 at the Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village of Vietnam with many special activities such as: the Great National Unity Association; The first festival of costumes of ethnic minorities in Vietnam in the North in 2022; Organizing the National Championship of British Talent in Ethnic Wrestling in 2022, Re-enacting festivals, customs and traditions of ethnic groups…

After the ceremony, a special art program with the theme “Vietnamese aspiration” took place in two chapters: Chapter I “Colors of the heritage of Vietnam’s ethnic groups”, Chapter II “Great unity of ethnic groups, Great Success and Vietnam’s Aspiration” performed by the artists of the Vietnam Contemporary Art Theater in collaboration with artisans and ethnic people.

“Vietnamese aspiration” brings many unique art performances, imbued with ethnic cultures. The art performances are combined with the performance of traditional costumes of the 22 ethnic groups in 15 northern mountainous provinces, giving the public a colorful art space.
