Director of Ho Chi Minh Museum hands the sacred flame to Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong.
The torchlight procession was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Congress – Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong; Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Congress – Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hanh; Director General of the General Department of Sports and Sports, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Congress – Mr. Dang Ha Viet; Deputy General Director of General Department of Sports and Sports – Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen, Head of Information and Propaganda Subcommittee and 9 elite athletes of the national athlete team and Quang Ninh province’s.
The torch procession departs from Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium, goes to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to lay a memorial wreath, then continues to move to the Ho Chi Minh Museum area to perform the torch relay. Leaders of the Ho Chi Minh Museum handed over the torch to Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The team of athletes carrying the torch was led by a police car to move straight to Quang Ninh. The torch will be lit in a torch flame lamp at SunGroup Square (Quang Ninh) and preserved until the opening day of the 9th National Sports Festival (December 9).
