Athletes from various categories participated in the Tournament, including Males and Females in Secondary School; Males and Females in High School, Males and Females in Armed Forces, as well as representatives from local wards and communes.
To commemorate the 69th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2023), the People’s Committee of Son Tay Town organized the grand finale of the 48th Hanoimoi Running Tournament for Peace – the Marathon Tournament for the youth and the armed forces of Son Tay Town in 2023. The tournament took place on September 23, 2023, at the Son Tay Town Center for Culture, Information, and Sports.
A total of 345 athletes from 39 units participated in various categories, including males and females in secondary school, males and females in high school, males and females in armed forces, and representatives from local wards and communes.
The running tournament created a vibrant sporting atmosphere, motivating and encouraging a large crowd of citizens to engage in physical activities, aiming to enhance their health and provide a wholesome and beneficial recreational platform for the people.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the organizers awarded the first, second, and third prizes to outstanding teams and individuals. Additionally, they selected a contingent of exceptional athletes to represent Son Tay Town in the upcoming 48th Hanoimoi Running Tournament for Peace, organized by the City at the end of September 2023.
