“Songs to Uncle Ho” – An emotional art space with beautiful melodies about Uncle Ho and Hanoi

This is the fourth time that Culture Newspaper has cooperated with related units to organize an art program with the theme of Uncle Ho. In particular, the program was held on the occasion of the October 10 Capital’s Liberation Day, which was spread and much significant when Hanoi began to return to a new normal state after the stressful days in the fight against the pandemic. The program includes beautiful songs and melodies about Uncle Ho, about the joy of victory of the people of the capital 67 years ago.

According to information from the Organizing Committee, the program took place in the context of the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic, so pandemic prevention and control were strictly implemented. The artists and the whole program crew have coordinated at the right time, performed 5K and attended testing for COVID-19 when entering the Theater.

The Songs to Uncle Ho was planned to be held on the 131st anniversary of his birthday (May 19, 1890- May 19, 2021) but had to back out because of the COVID-19 pandemic. “This is the right time to organize the program in the form of a concert without an audience. With two major themes: “He is a belief of victory” and “October of historic autumn”, the program will lead the audience’s emotions with the best songs about President Ho Chi Minh and beautiful melodies about Hanoi in the historic autumn…”.

 Famous artists contributed to the program. 

“Songs to Uncle Ho” program consists of two parts. In Part 1 “He is a belief of victory”, the audiences will listen to famous songs about President Ho Chi Minh such as “Bác Hồ – Người cho em tất  cả”, “Người là niềm tin tất thắng”, “Từ làng Sen”, “Trông cây lại nhớ đến Người”, “Hồ Chí Minh đẹp nhất tên Người”, “Làng Chăm ơn Bác”, “Bài ca Hồ Chí Minh”. Those are the melodies that have lived in the subconscious of generations of Vietnamese audiences, the sacred feelings about the Father of the nation. Besides, the new feature of the program is the beautiful songs about Hanoi, about glorious historical moments, forever becoming imprints in the hearts of Hanoians.
In Part 2, “October of historic autumn”, the public will enjoy famous songs about Hanoi such a “Tiến về Hà Nội”, “Cảm xúc tháng 10”, “Khi thành phố lên đèn”, “Bài ca Hà Nội”, “Nhớ về Hà Nội”, “Hà Nội linh thiêng hào hoa”, “Ngẫu hứng sông Hồng”, “Hà Nội 12 mùa hoa”, “Người Hà Nội”…
Contributing to the program, there are famous artists such as People’s Artist Quoc Hung, singer Anh Tho, Trong Tan, Tan Nhan, Lan Anh, Le Anh Dung, Thu Thuy, Khanh Ly,  Cloud band…
People’s Artist Quoc Hung – General director of the program also did not hide his excitement when he had not had the opportunity to stand on the big stage for a long time to sing for the public. This time, People’s Artist Quoc Hung will join the choir of the Vietnam National Academy of Music to present two songs “Người là niềm tin tất thắng” and “Người Hà Nội”. “Besides the theme song of part 1 “Người là niềm tin tất thắng”, I will sing the song “Người Hà Nội” Hanoi, already know the melodies and lyrics of the song, and I believe that I will bring a lot of emotions to the listeners with the performance of this song”, said People’s Artist Quoc Hung.
