The City People’s Committee carried out the Hanoi Party Committee’s Document No. 351-CV/TU, dated April 4, 2022, on strengthening leadership in the “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” campaign implementation in Hanoi City. It delegated departments, branches, and People’s Committees of districts and towns to strengthen propaganda information about the campaign to each agency, unit, person, and political organization so they could understand their rights and interests as well as their obligations and responsibilities in carrying out the campaign. It is needed to research and timely adjust mechanisms and policies to support businesses, especially the small and medium enterprises, digital technology enterprises participating in production, supply, and high-value service chains, and sustainable consumption, prioritizing the use of goods and materials produced in Vietnam. Promote brand building, promotion, and development, improve competitiveness, and expand domestic and export markets for Vietnamese products and typical goods highly appreciated by the consumers from the enterprises and units in the city.

At the same time, coordinate to set up programs and improve the efficiency of trade promotion activities; stimulate consumer demand to increase the market share of Vietnamese goods in the city’s network of trade centers and supermarkets; strengthen the application of information technology; develop e-commerce and modern trade channels and activities in harmony with traditional commercial channels and activities; Continue to expand the network of fixed and mobile selling points to bring Vietnamese goods to consumers, especially in rural and mountainous areas; introduce and promote OCOP products associated with craft village tourism and rural tourism. actively participate in the implementation of projects: developing the domestic market in association with the campaign for the period 2021-2025; mobilizing overseas Vietnamese to participate in introducing, consuming, and developing distribution channels of Vietnamese goods abroad in the period 2020-2024.

The City People’s Committee also assigned units to implement policies to safeguard consumer interests, strictly deal with infringements on intellectual property rights, fake, counterfeit, and low-quality goods, foster a fair environment for businesses, and increase consumer confidence in Vietnamese goods and services.
