Determining that the election of members of the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term is one of the key tasks of 2021, so far, Thuong Tin district has carried out preparations for the election seriously, strictly and legally. In which, communication is entering the peak phase to raise awareness and knowledge of all classes of people in the area to understand the purpose and meaning of the election; rights and obligations of citizens, contributing to a successful election in the district.
Communication is well implemented in the district. Adhering to the guiding documents of the City Election Commission, the Election Committee of Thuong Tin district assigned the Subcommittee to direct the work of election information and communication to develop an information and communication plan close to the local reality. The District Department of Culture and Information has implemented the Plan and closely coordinated with 16 communes and towns to carry out communication for the election in 3 phases, starting from January 2021
Carrying out the second communication campaign (from May 1 to May 23, 2021), Thuong Tin district has implemented visual communication at major roads, district centers and communes and towns. The whole district has renewed 900m2 of large outdoor panels; raised 850 pennants; 1,000 Party and Fatherland flags. Communes and towns have hung 580 banners, more than 4,600 national flags; 2,320 Party flags at inter-commune roads, densely populated places and areas where voter lists are posted. 100% of the headquarters of communes and towns are decorated to welcome the election. At the polling stations, the decoration of facilities is also being directed by the communes and towns to ensure the conditions for the election day.

The district Culture, Information and Sports Center strengthens its communication through the district’s electronic portal, visual communication, and the radio system. The district’s web portal has opened a section on election communication, regularly updated news and progress of election services in the area; legal knowledge on election to convey to the People, especially the voters, etc. Officials in charge of radio stations in communes and towns actively record news and communication broadcasts on loudspeaker system broadcasting, coordinating with the cultural division of the commune, to install a system of billboards, posters, slogans, etc. on the main roads. In addition, the District directed the use and promotion of the social networking site with fanpage of “Thuong Tin famous land” to serve the communication in a timely and correct manner”.
Along with communication for the election, the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic is also focused on by Thuong Tin district. The whole district has 521 cases of F1, 683 cases of F2. The F1 cases have been taken to concentrated isolation, the F2 cases are self-isolating at home according to regulations. The district also surveyed and developed plans and scenarios to perform well the election in the context of complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring compliance with the law and safety.
In the district, there is To Hieu commune with 11 cases infected COVID-19; the district has blockaded and isolated 4 villages and residential areas in the commune. The district has done well in handling and tracing cases related to Covid-19 infections; good control of the pandemic in To Hieu commune and related to the wedding in Bac Ninh province.

From now until the election day, Thuong Tin district promotes its communication: Strengthening visual promotion of public and central areas; decorating polling areas; communicating by loudspeakers, mobile radio, etc. so that people and voters in the locality understand and master the regulations on elections, actively participate in elections, and make elections in the district went well. In addition, the district strictly implements the directives and directions of the City Party Committee on pandemic prevention; well perform the pandemic prevention and control in the election; make specific plans for each situation on pandemic prevention and control during the election, avoid being passive in the face of possible bad situations, especially in localities where isolation is being carried out.
