Amidst the burning hot summer days of June, at the Quan Ngua Sports Palace, Tran Ha Vi and her seclected Hanoi Aerobic team kept being engrossed in training work prepared for the National Youth Aerobic Tournament of 2016 to be held in Nha Trang City. The young faces were soaked with sweats due to the hot of summertime. Among that team, a little girl Tran Ha Vi always obtain deep affection from her friends as well as instructors, as she not only is an outstanding ethlete, an excellent pupil for many consecutive years, but also a good example for her courage in training and practices, and devotion to Aerobics at Ha Noi Gifted Physical and Sports School. Not long ago, last April, Ha Vi succeeded in winning the gold medal at the World Cub Tournament for 12-14 age women aerobic single held in Japan. Though rather tired, Ha Vi replied with smiles: this afternoon, we will have to fly to Nha Trang for the another tournament, even so hot it is, we still have to exercise, overcome and try hard.
Such is about Ha Vi, with the tiny figure, just at the age of 14, and her face still looks as a baby, but often shows her strong energy and firmness.
Being fond of and joining the Aerobic exercises since she was a school girl, when arriving the 6th grades, the delicately little girl Tran Ha Vi decided to ask her parents’ permission to move to the Ha Noi Gifted Physical and Sports School, so as to pursue her love and dreams to become a professional athlete. Since then, 3 years have passed, with her high determination to overcome diffculties and harships, Ha vi has gained great achievements in learning and sports competition, i.e regularly being recognized as a good student and seizing high level awards at the sports tournaments both at home and abroad. As of 2011 till now, Ha Vi has participated in 11 tournaments, including the ones before entering the Ha Noi Gifted Physical and Sports School, of which there are 7 international competitions, achieving 12 gold medals, 6 silvers and 2 bronzes in both single and team contents. When relating about her study and sports training, Ha Vi says once being a trainee at the Ha Noi Gifted Physical and Sports School, it requires each student to strive very hard, in order to be able to have good results not only in studying and in sports competitions as well. For her time is always lacked, without having a relax. Too often, right after leaving the training ground, she has to run straightforward to the class without having a meal. Particularly at a time when training is under way to prepare for the competition, multifold endeavours are needed. Even when in a state of being energy loss, exhaustion, hunger, as she has to strictly abide by the eating regime for weight squeeze, at times she feels self-pity and weepy. In such circumstances, encouraged by the trainers, thinking of the expected goals, Ha Vi regains greater energies to overcome. At present, Ha Vi has been building up steady qualifying spirits that she is confidently in a good position to cope with any competitors. She adds maybe that is a very secret to gain victory. For every success achieved, Ha Vi is always bearing deeply in her mind appreciation and gratitude to her trainers’ care and guidances. She also thinks that the worthiest and most significant thanks to her family’s care and trainers’ efforts are the medals she has brought about to the the Sports of Ha Noi and Viet Nam as a whole. Both Ms Nguyen Mai Phuong and Ms Mai Bich Lam, the two coaches have for many year been side by side with Ha Vi as her tutors-cum-mothers. Ha Vi has never been accompanied by any her relatives on any tournaments overseas, so apart from qualifying, the two instructors often look after and encourage Ha Vi in daily life. Ms Nguyen Minh Phuong could not help her expression of prides of Ha Vi, saying: Currently, Aerobic sport in Ha Noi is developing very well. On the national scale, Ha Noi continuously ranks top or runner-up in this sport. Young athletes are keen to practise and striving, out of them Ha Vi is the salient one with good proficiency, potentials, devotion, and high determination.
Ha Vi is also a person of affection and self-reliance. As is the only daughter in the family, but she is quite caring and sharing with everyone. Her home is located in Lac Long Quan Street, Tay Ho District. Her father is working faraway and mother is busily burdened with the restaurant’s business, so she always proactively manages herself in studying and daily life. Once available, she is ready to help her mother in housework. Ha vi is really an outstanding athlete, a obedient student, a pride of the Sports of Ha Noi and Viet Nam.
