Since the appearance of the Covid-19 pandemic in Hanoi capital, Ung Hoa district has actively, seriously, drastically, and effectively implemented measures to prevent and control the pandemic. Given the complicated and unpredictable developments of the pandemic, to firmly protect the “Green Zone” district of Hanoi city, on September 9, 2021, the Standing Board of the District Committee issued Official Letter No. 287-CV/HU on “Strengthening the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic in the district”, requesting all levels of party committees, authorities and agencies, departments, branches in the district to well perform certain tasks, including promoting the propaganda in various forms to raise awareness and responsibility for Covid-19 prevention and control among officials, party members, and the people; and following the motto “Considering the People as the center and the subject that is the key to success in the Covid-19 prevention and control work”.

The Standing Board of the District Party Committee assigned the Propaganda & Education Department of the District Party Committee to direct the District Culture & Information Office, and the District Culture, Information & Sports Center to further coordinate with agencies, communes, and townships in actively conducting propaganda on the mass media about the pandemic prevention and control work, as well as guidelines and policies of the Central Authority, City and District levels, etc., and at the same time, opposing false and inaccurate information that have negative impacts and cause confusion among people; to continue to direct the good implementation of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic in the district as specified in Directive No. 15/CT-TTg dated March 27, 2020 of the Prime Minister, Conclusion No. 484-TB/TU dated September 7, 2021 of the Standing Board of the City Party Committee, Directive No. 20/CT-UBND dated September 3, 2021 of the Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Dispatch No. 20/CD-UBND dated September 6, 2021, and Plan No. 206/KH-UBND dated September 8, 2021 of the City People’s Committee; Conclusion No. 155-TB/HU dated September 5, 2021 of the Standing Board of the District Party Committee, Directive No. 09/CT-UBND dated September 5, 2021 of the Chairman of the District People’s Committee and other guiding documents of the City and the district.

Further conducting propaganda so that people aged 18 or more actively get the 1st vaccination by September 15, 2021

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the District Culture & Information Sector has organized many forms of propaganda to enhance the people’s knowledge and sense of responsibility for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, thereby, timely providing information on the pandemic prevention and control measures and situation so that people know, understand, believe, respond, support, and comply with.

The District Culture & Information Sector has currently focused on the propaganda of testing and vaccination against Covid-19, contributing to the successful implementation of the district’s goal: Large-scale quick testing for 100% of residents in the whole district to sort out any F0 cases; Completing 1st injection of the vaccine against Covid-19 for 100% of residents aged 18 or more in the district by September 15, 2021, depending on the number of vaccines assigned by the Department of Health; completing the 2nd injection for those who have got 1st injection with sufficient interval, giving special priority and attention to the frontline health workers, the elderly, the people with underlying medical conditions, and pregnant women; and accelerating the vaccination coverage.
